I had put together a Holiday Lights Tour with some friends from our play group and invited some others as well. The Holiday Lights Tour was set up with
Top Dog Limo Bus Company. You rent a limo bus for a few hours and they drive you around San Diego to see some houses with tons of lights.

Our meeting spot was at the La Costa Grill which is walking distance from my house so my Mom and my friend Edith met at my house and we walked over to the restaurant. While we were waiting we decided to have a drink. Yep, after over 2 years of no alcohol I had a beverage. I decided to have my old school fav beverage, raspberry vodka and 7up (it was a featured drink at my wedding). I'm glad I only stuck to having one drink because I could definitely feel the effects after a few sips, yes, I am a total LIGHTWEIGHT. Which is fine, less expensive that way. Besides, I'm not a big drinker so I don't anticipate getting back into having a drink every so often. Like to keep my head clear in case my little man, Tre needs me at any given moment. But it was a fun little buzz to have for the beginning of the night.

Now on to the night story, it was a really cool experience. They decorated the bus with a holiday theme and the driver had a great game plan. She had destinations in mind but asked if I had any preferences, I pretty much left it up to her though since I didn't really know the places to go for lights.

She took us to Tierrasanta first to see this home that was AMAZING. There were SO many lights and they had it set up to music on a certain radio channel, so we set our radio inside the limo to that channel and we were able to watch the lights work with the music on the station as well as some talking they had, it was really cool. My friend Edith took some videos of this house, to see those videos you can go to:

www.belardolights.com.
After that stop we went to Santee and drove through a neighborhood called Starlight Circle in the Sunburst Santee area. It was a great display as well. They even had people selling stuff on their driveways. There was kettle corn, hot chocolate, even lumpia and other snacks at this one house.

Then we were off to Coronado, which I was really excited about since I used to work right across the street from the Hotel Del Coronado. Our driver took us to the Hotel Del where she dropped us off to go into the hotel and check out the Christmas tree which was awesome. We took a bunch of pictures.
After Coronado we were running out of time so our driver took us through Balboa Park for a drive by and then back to La Costa.
There was 12 of us and I think everyone had a great time!! I hope to do this again next year, maybe with a larger group now that we have experienced it once and maybe I can plan it a little bit further in advance.
