Happy 37 Week Birthday Tre

A great experience for Tre and Jammer took place on Thursday, March 19th. Jammer was able to come to swim class with Tre and I and decided to take my place in the pool so he could play with Tre in the water. They had so much fun! It was pretty chilly outside but it didn't seem to bother either of them. They were pretty much in their own world once they got used to the water. I had fun taking pictures and video of them and seeing the enjoyment those two had together. Jammer had so much fun that we decided we are going to try and split the classes, I take one day and he take the other each week. To see more pictures click here. I also have video of them in the water which will be posted very soon.

Friday, March 20th, Tre and I went to Bressi Ranch area to meet up with our playgroup for a little picnic on the grassy area by the Trader Joe's near there. The kids had a blast playing with all of Tre's toys. After the picnic I took Tre home and we decided to put him down for a nap before we headed up to the St. Regis Hotel in Dana Point. Now for the explanation of the St. Regis event. Jammer had earned this trip through work, it was called Winners Circle. It had to do with his sales from last year, they had to consistently be above a certain level. He reached that goal and was sent to the Winners Circle event. They provided us a night's stay at the St. Regis, a banquet dinner, a concert by Switchfoot and a breakfast in the morning. My sister, Ashley came to the hotel so she could watch Tre for us during all this since no kids were allowed at the functions. Of course, since I am still waking up in the night with Tre I was pretty tired when 10pm hit so we headed back to the room shortly after that and good thing we did because Tre woke up 4 times throughout the night. So Tired!

Saturday, March 21st, we had our breakfast and then drove back to Carlsbad. That afternoon we took Tre to the park and then stopped at the grocery store for some stuff for dinner.

Sunday, March 22nd, we ran a few errands in the earlier part of the day and then Tre and I had planned to go to my cousin's 1st birthday party up in Orange County. I was a dork though and thought the birthday started at 2pm but it actually started at 12pm so we were pretty late, but we got to spend some time with everyone and it was probably for the better. It was pretty crowded when we got there. Since the weather wasn't so great up there they ended up having it at their house instead of at the park like they had planned. Tre isn't a big fan of large crowds of people indoors so he wasn't super happy when we walked in and all the noise and chaos was going on. Since we were late it didn't last very long and once a lot of people left he was able to play with the birthday girl and her toys.

Monday, March 23rd, we went to the park in the earlier part of the day and then stopped off at Costco. In the afternoon we went for a walk at Tamarack Beach. We love this walk, love the beach view and it's the perfect amount of walking for us. Noa rode in the stroller since sometimes he has a tendency to hold up the group with all the strollers walking he gets a little nervous, I figured just the fact that he was getting some fresh air was fine and it didn't matter that he wasn't walking. He enjoyed the walk probably more this way.

Tuesday, March 24th, we had swim class, where Tre went under water for the first time. I didn't actually expect it and neither did he, but the instructor decided to try passing him to me, in which I thought she meant, above water he would push off to me and I would catch him before he went under, but nope, she pushed him towards me with a little dip underwater. Needless to say Tre was rather shocked, attempted to cry but we all cheered for him that he just sort of sat there with a confused look on his face. The look to me said, okay, so I really want to cry but these ladies are all cheering for me so I guess I did something right even though I don't feel like I liked what just happened. He recovered quickly and went back to bouncing up and down in the water. He loves the water so much that we ended up staying there for like 15 minutes after class to just float around in the water and play. My little water baby! In the afternoon we went over to my friend Allison's house so Tre could play with Cole, Noa could play with her 3 poodles and she and I could chat. We went for a walk as well.

Wednesday, March 25th, Tre had a playdate which was themed a dancing playdate, we each brought a kid friendly cd to play and the kids were able to listen to the music, dance and play together. Tre was doing some serious crawling attempts, he has almost got it and we imagine this will probably happen pretty soon. The rest of the kids at the playdate were walking so it was interesting to see Tre's reaction to it all and his desire to move.

Updates on Tre in general, that 8th tooth that I thought he was getting somehow disappeared. I swear I saw the white of it emerging and felt a rough feeling, however now I've looked in there and don't see it, so that 8th tooth went into hiding. BUT, an official 8th tooth is coming through and I can actually see it and feel it. So the actual tooth count is 8 still. His naps have been interesting to watch on the monitor lately, he has been rolling over a ton in his crib and at times has been sleeping on his tummy. It is so weird to see because I am so used to seeing his little face while he sleeps and to not be able to weirds me out. I took a picture of him on the monitor because I thought it was so funny!

Happy 36 Week Birthday Tre

So Thursday, March 12th was a very mellow day. I was still recooperating from being sick so Jammer stayed home to help take care of Tre. He took Tre to the park and played with him at home. Even when it was time for bed on Thursday night I was still feeling a little yucky.

While they were hanging out in the living room playing with Tre's toys I took a picture of them, it was too cute.

But when I woke up on Friday, March 13th, I started to feel like myself again, still a little weak but no longer body aching and sick to my stomach. Good thing because Tre and I had planned to go to the Wild Animal Park. We had scheduled this two weeks prior so I was really hoping that I would be able to make it. I kept it kind of mellow for the first half of the day and then when it was time for Tre's nap we headed over to the Wild Animal Park since the meetup was scheduled for 2pm. We got to the park and Tre was still sleeping so it was a good thing the rest of the ladies were running a little late. The person that I met there had an extra ticket for me so we got to go in for free, YAY! We also got to go on the Journey into Africa tour for free with her membership. It was a fun time! The only bummer is not getting good pics of Tre and I at the park. But I did manage to take one pic of Tre and I on the tour ride, kind of a silly one.

Saturday, March 14th, Tre, Jammer and I went to Rock'n Sprouts in the Carlsbad Village area for a model search event that they had at the store to find some models for their Spring/Summer clothes. After Tre's morning nap we got him dressed and went over to the store. He was number 51 out of 56 or so kids that were photographed as potential Sprouts for their official photo shoot. It is such a cute store. After they took a few pictures of Tre we ended up getting some sushi for lunch and then back to the house for Tre's midday nap and then when Tre got up I got in touch with my friend Ashley to come down to their new house in Point Loma (they just moved back to SD from Santa Barbara, woo-hoo) and visit with her and their son Connor, who is 6 weeks older than Tre. Their house is super cute and we got to witness Connor trying to feed himself which was so funny, he had food EVERYWHERE, in his hair, on the walls, all over his face, etc. But he looked like he was having fun doing it!

Sunday, March 15th and Monday, March 16th were mellow days, no big plans so we just did whatever so the day would cruise by. No pics from these days.

Tuesday, March 17th, was St Patrick's Day and Tre's 1st Swim Class!!! I have been waiting for this day to come because I just couldn't wait for Tre to get in the water and splash around. One thing I was worried about though was due to the time change Tre hasn't been on his normal sleep schedule and has been sleeping later in the morning and I was worried that with an 11am swim class I would either have to drive around with him napping in the car or wake him up from his nap early. Neither I was looking forward to doing, luckily for both of us, he woke up earlier than planned (5:45am, yuck) but it all worked out that he was awake when it was time to go to class and then would end up taking a nap straight after swim class. It was a fun and kind of tiring (for me) class. Trying to stay under the water in the shallow end and bouncing around with Tre, my legs and arms were tired after that class. But Tre had so much fun!

On the way home he fell asleep, which was a bummer because he most likely would wake up when we get home. And of course as soon as I quietly get him up to his room and shut the door, jump in the shower and I hear a little baby noise...he was awake! We had a park playdate planned for the afternoon so I finished my shower as quickly as I could, got ready and then got Tre ready for the park. We had to get ourselves dressed in something green so we wouldn't get pinched! Hehe!

Wednesday, March 18th, rolls around, and we had made plans to go visit my friend Lawrence at his jewelry store. The last time he saw Tre I think Tre was around 2 months old or something. So a lot had changed with Tre. We visited with him for a little under an hour and Tre was loving all the shiny stuff in the store. After Tre's midday nap we went over to my friend Allison's house to get Noa acclimated with her house since she was going to watch Noa on Friday night for us when we stayed up at the St. Regis Hotel in Dana Point (will explain about that in the next post). Of course I am a worrier and wanted Noa to be as comfortable as possible which was no problem for him. Allison has 3 poodles so Noa just joined the group and was running around the house playing with toys and enjoying himself. Tre got to cruise around in his buddy Cole's car and he loved that! Then we had to run some errands and after that it was time to go home to view some pictures from my friend Lisa's photo shoot that Noa and Tre were in for her greeting card biz Tessa May Greeting Cards. Cute pics, can't wait to show those off!

Now for the really cool announcement...the model search for Rock'n Sprouts was a success and Tre was chosen as one of the models for the Spring/Summer collection. Not just chosen but picked as the overall winner of the model search!! In addition to being featured on their website and in their store, he has won an entire outfit as well. Super cool! To see the announcement from the photographer's blog go here:

Happy 35 Week Birthday Tre

Weekly update is here again...

I have to say, today was one of the most difficult days for me. I woke up around 3:45am and felt horrible. I was sick from 4am to around 10:30am off and on. Among all this nausea I had to try to take care of Tre, who also was sick in the middle of the night. Poor thing was surrounded by throw up (sorry for the yucky details). I had to try and hold down my urge to get sick to get him all cleaned up, clean his sheets, etc. It was very messy. Thankfully Jammer came in to help me because I wasn't able to make it the entire time without going to the bathroom. I was able to then pull it back together and feed Tre and then Jammer helped me by putting him to bed for me.

I was up for 2 more hours in the bathroom, then just when I finally got some sleep I woke up and felt the pain in my stomach again. Tre had woken up and I was trying to take care of him and juggle going to the bathroom as well. Jammer had to work that morning so I was alone. When I had to put Tre down for the second time within the hour I decided to text Jammer to see if there was any way he could take a sick day and come home to help me. I knew there was NO way I was going to be able to do this on my own, I could barely carry Tre. My friend Ashley and her son Connor were supposed to come up and go to the park with Tre and I at 11am and when she text me to confirm the playdate I had to let her know that I wasn't doing so well. She offered to come help me out and came up to the house so Tre and Connor could play together. Shortly after they arrived Jammer came home from work. Once he got home I was able to take a nap or an attempt at a nap since my body was hurting so bad I couldn't get comfortable.

After Tre's afternoon nap I fed Tre and then Jammer took care of him and I went back to bed and they went to the beach to "check the surf". We dressed him in some very special overalls, they were worn by Jammer and his 3 siblings when they were around Tre's age. So it was pretty cool that he wore those special overalls when Jammer had his Daddy & Tre time. It was great, I got to actually take a nap that was undisturbed by any Tre noise. While resting with Tre in the house I couldn't help but naturally react to him making a cry or anything. With teamwork we fed Tre his dinner and had to give Tre a bath since he kind of still smelled like vomit, then put him to bed.

Now for a recap of the past week...

Thurs, March 5th was a playdate in Vista at Ali & Mackena's house. I had propped Tre down in front of this toy of Mackena's that had a mirror and when you press buttons on it music and lights go off. He loved it and sat there for the majority of the time. It was funny, I would turn him around to see what the other kids were doing and he would want to turn back around and play with the toy. Eventually he became more interested in what was going on.

Fri, March 6th a lagoon walk was scheduled with our playgroup. Jammer's Mom came down and joined us at the walk. It's a fun walk. Some of the group ran and some of the group walked. We were in the walking group. It's pretty difficult to run with Tre in the front carrier and I'm not a big fan of running. Hehe.

Sat, March 7th was a crazy, crazy day. My tire started to have problems, a light went on in my car informing me that the flat tire monitor was activated, it freaked me out because we were on our way to Orange County for a photo shoot. Noa and Tre are supposed to be featured in a couple greeting cards coming out soon. I'll definitely update when those emerge. We got up to OC safely but my tire was REALLY low. I went in for the photo shoot which was crazy in itself, there were dogs everywhere and they were moving at a very rapid pace, so fast that Tre and Noa only did 2 out of the 3 shots they were supposed to do. But I think they got some great shots. My Mom showed up at the photo shoot a little bit later to have her dog, Holly photographed. I was trying to figure out what to do about my car. Finally I had decided to fill the tire with air and get home to take care of the issue closer to home. We made it home safely from OC and Jammer's Mom came over shortly after we arrived home to visit with Tre a little bit before she headed back home.

Sun, March 8th we were supposed to go meet up with another playgroup at the beach, but by the time we got to the beach we couldn't find a parking spot and I was worried about my tire. So we skipped the beach meetup and went to Discount Tire to get my tire fixed, however when I got there they were closed. I didn't realize that they are closed on Sundays. Total Bummer! So by the time I had gotten to Discount Tire and tried to decide what to do from there I figured I would just go home and put Tre down for a nap and then just hang out for the rest of the day. Also, with the time change Tre's schedule has been totally thrown off.

Mon, March 9th was Tre's 8 month birthday, which all the details to what we did that day are in his 8 Month Birthday post.

Tuesday, March 10th we had a playgroup meet up at Panera Bread. Tre woke up from his nap about 30 mins before we needed to be there. I got him fed and dressed and made i over there just a few minutes late. We enjoyed some good company and I would like to say good food, but I feel like Panera is where I got my food poisoning. The only reason I think that is because Jammer had today off and we ate breakfast and dinner together (same food) and lunch was the only thing that we ate differently and he didn't get sick. So that's my thought on that. But who knows what the cause was.

And that brings us to the beginning of this post where I explain my difficult Wednesday.

Had to share this pic because it shows a pretty good shot of his teeth...7 1/2 teeth...yes he is getting ANOTHER tooth. It's a random tooth this time that is just sort of slightly showing but that'll be 8 teeth. Crazy!

Tre is 8 Months Old

For Tre's 8 month birthday we went to a Hullabaloo Concert at the Encinitas Community Center. It started at 10:30am which was cutting it close for us with the time change, we were a few minutes late but still made it in time to enjoy the show. There was kids dancing and lots of energy in the room.

Tre was trying to adjust to all the action since he had just woken up from his nap before getting there but once he warmed up to what was going on, he got into it. We went with our mommy/baby playgroup and it was a pretty good turnout. It was one of the boys' birthdays so after the concert they had cake and sang happy birthday on the outside patio. It was fun for our group to join on the patio after the show to talk and just hang out.

After the show and hang out was over we headed to Discount Tire to get my tire checked on my car, it was losing air. We were able to walk over to Jammer's work and have lunch with him and then went home to put Tre down for a nap and when Tre woke up we went back to get the car and stop by Costco.

My sister was in town too, helping me out huge by doing some cleaning around the house.

Happy 34 Week Birthday Tre

Life is picking up and the weeks are going faster and faster. It might have something to do with constantly doing stuff and being pretty busy but I feel like I just posted a weekly blog post and here I am posting another. We are having fun and getting out to meet a lot of great people and adorable babies.

Thursday, February 26th I went over to a neighborhood right down the street from my house called Bressi Ranch. It's a very cute community, kind of reminds me of Wisteria Lane (Desperate Housewives television show for those of you that don't know what Wisteria Lane is). It was a nice, warm and sunny day. We went for a walk around the neighborhood and then went to check out the new Trader Joe's that just opened within the community and then had a little picnic on the grass just a little ways away from Trader Joe's. I got sunburned from when we were walking, good thing Tre was in his stroller so he was totally covered from the excess amount of sun. He tried a puff and wasn't quite sure what to do with it so he let it chill on his face (see pic in this paragraph). Then that evening I went to one of the Mom's houses for a Pampered Chef party, we made a pizza and learned about the products. It was a good time to get out, that's the 2nd time I have gotten out of the house without Tre, crazy that only twice in almost 8 months have I left the house to do something entertaining for myself without worrying about a baby in tow. It was nice to get out and chat with some other Moms and eat some yummy food.

Friday, February 27th, Tre tried prunes for the first time, I thought I would video his eating the prunes thinking I would get more of a reaction out of him, but not as much as I thought, he did flinch a little but mostly just ate. I decided to post the video anyways since it's always entertaining to me to watch him just doing his thing. Tre has eaten 5 different pureed veggies now and 5 different pureed fruits (green beans, peas, carrots, sweet potatoes and avocado for veggies, bananas, pears, apples, prunes and blueberries for fruits). Jammer had today off so we hung out for the first half of the day, had to take Tre to get a shot that he didn't get at his 6 month check up (I hate shots). They weighed him while we were there because I was curious to know how much this big lug weighs now and he weighed in at 20.4 pounds (with his clothes on). Tre was a tough guy and only cried for a second when the needle went in, then stopped. He was a little fussy at times after that though, not in the greatest mood so we had to take him home for a nap. Luckily when Tre woke up from his nap he was in a much better mood because we had a walk at Tamarack planned at 3:30pm, we went over to Tamarack beach early to meet my friend Allison and her son Cole to hang at the beach until the rest of the group arrived, then went for our walk.

Tre eating prunes...not as shocking to him as I thought they would be...

Saturday, February 28th was a mellow, no plans day. We ran a few errands and just chilled. Sunday, March 1st was my friend Edith's birthday BBQ at her house so when Tre woke up from his nap we went over to her house and hung out for a bit.

Monday, March 2nd we had a playdate at Aviara Park, we had a funny experience at the park. Tre's buddy Cole and him wore the same outfits. Funniest part about this is they weren't even planning on seeing each other that day. Allison & Cole had planned to go to a stroller fit class but when they got there the class was cancelled so they decided to come to the park, when Allison got there with Cole she brought Cole out and there he was in the same outfit as Tre. It was a crack up! My Mom had bought Tre some of those alphabet mats for our living room so while Tre is moving around he has some more cushion and something fun to crawl around on when the time comes. We spelled out his name and I took a few pictures of Tre lined up next to his name. Fun!

Tuesday, March 3rd my Mom came down to visit and we went to the Quail Botanical Gardens for a little while. My friend Edith and her daughter Ady met us there for a short bit. It was a nice day so the Gardens were a great place to be enjoying the beautiful weather and checking out some beautiful scenery. It trips me out that this place is so close to my house, this place full of beautiful nature! I can't wait till they finish the new children's section, it looks like it is going to be really cool!

Today, March 4th was Jammer's day off so we hung out in the earlier part of the day all together and then Tre took a nap and Jammer went surfing and when Tre woke up we went over to Playwerx for a Free Music Demo Class. It was fun, the music was entertaining and Tre enjoyed playing with the little instruments and music maker stuff. Playwerx itself was okay but I think Tre is too young for it. Since he isn't mobile there wasn't much we could do. Since he isn't crawling or walking yet the girl let us go in for free so that was cool, at least gave us a chance to check it out and realize it's probably not for us currently. We had to pick Noa up from the groomers after that and then went home to do our evening routine. Noa is all clean now, yay!

So that was our week. Updates on Tre's development...he got ANOTHER tooth. That makes 7 teeth now! No wonder this kid is having issues sleeping sometimes, he hasn't had a rest from teething it seems. Just when a tooth comes in and I think okay he'll get a break, another tooth starts making its way out. Poor little guy! He has gotten much better at drinking from a sippy cup, now actually getting liquid out without my squeezing it to help it along so that was exciting. He is scooting a little bit more and his legs are kicking a ton. He can make it around the room by rolling onto his tummy, then over onto his back until he rotates himself into the direction and position he wants to be in. Most often ending on his back because he tries to avoid being on his tummy at all costs. He is good at propping himself up on his hands but hasn't gotten that he needs to push his weight from one side to the other yet and one hand takes his weight and holds him up and the other tries to move forward. Soon enough he'll get it!
