Happy 42 Week Birthday Tre

Tre has had some amazing progress in development! I was going to post about it in my last post but I didn't want to jinx anything and wanted to see how it panned out but Tre has made it without nursing at night, as long as Tre has been alive he has nursed throughout the night and slowly getting to just one nursing each night up until recently. From Tuesday night, April 21st to Wednesday morning, April 22nd Tre woke up once in the middle of the night but fell back to sleep on his own without nursing. From Wednesday night, April 22nd to Thursday morning, April 23rd he woke up twice and the second time I almost gave in because I thought I saw him signing milk and it broke my heart to see him asking for it, but held on a little bit longer and he fell back to sleep. Yay, so that was two nights without needing to nurse. Then Thursday night, April 23rd to Friday morning, April 24th was awesome! He woke up around 9pm-ish for his pacifier and then slept through the ENTIRE night. He woke up around 6:30am after going to bed around 7:45pm. Pretty good, huh?

Thursday, April 23 was supposed to be Tre's last swim class, but of course the weather took a turn for the worst and was way too cold for me to get in that water and too breezy for me to feel good about Tre getting in the water without worrying about the temp change so we skipped swim. I felt so sad about it though, darn weather! Instead of swim we went and ran some errands to get some things for the house (and for Tre). Then Tre took a nap and when he woke up we played with his toys until Jammer got home from work. Then Jammer's brother John came over to see Tre and we went for a walk down to the music store across the street and then to eat some dinner at El Caribe across the street. When we got back to the house we fed Tre his dinner and then got him ready for bed.

Friday, April 24th Jammer only had to work in the morning so when he got off work we met up for a late breakfast at Broken Yolk. We had unfortunate news this past week, Jammer's Aunt had passed away. She was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer last year. We had been keeping up with what she was up to by her blog. We are going to be going out to Arizona this weekend to be there for her funeral on Monday. This afternoon Tre and I went over to Allison and Cole's house to play for a little bit before dinnertime. Tre was being funny playing underneath the coffee table so I snapped a photo of him banging the spoon on the coffee table and smiling for the camera. Then came home for dinner and got the little guy into bed.

Saturday, April 25th as the test of not nursing in the middle of the night has been continuing Tre has done very well still. He did however wake up last night and was awake for almost an hour off and on. He didn't ever break into an extreme cry but just sort of played around in his crib, whined a little, rotated to the other side of the crib, rolled over on his belly and eventually fell back to sleep. I don't know if I am imagining it from being so delirious or what, but I think I saw the milk sign again. If he didn't look so sleepy and keep putting his head down to go to sleep I probably would've given in and went in there, but I was so tired and after doing this for 3 days I was determined to continue and I am happy I did. Takes great will power to not go to your child when you see that they might want something. But I think it is in his best interest to get through the night like a big boy and I will come to comfort and feed him in the morning. I think it is also in my best interest to finally get some rest after all these months of not sleeping through the night I am pretty tired. Anyways, as for the events of this day, the Encinitas Street Fair was going on so I was very excited to go to that and we planned to put Tre down for his morning nap and then when he got up we went over to the fair. Our friend Lori had her booth set up there for her baby clothing company Lotus Baby Clothing. I LOVE looking at all her stuff and seeing what else I can purchase to put on Tre. Jammer's Mom and Dad joined us at the fair and we walked around checking out all the booths. After the fair we brought Tre home for a nap and when he woke up we went over to Jammer's parents' beach house and hung out there until it was time to go home for Tre's dinner & bed.

Sunday, April 26th we did our morning routine with Tre and then while Tre took his morning nap I got stuff packed up and ready to leave for Arizona (while I was trying to get stuff packed from his room I had him playing in his room and he was being SO cute so I grabbed the video camera and started filming, we were waiting for Jammer to get back from surfing). We planned to leave around noon. We unfortunately didn't get out the door until around 1:15pm and grabbed some food at In & Out which took FOREVER and then we were on the road around 1:40pm and out to Arizona. Tre fell asleep about 10 minutes after we left In & Out and napped for about an hour. Then was awake for majority of the rest of the trip. We stopped in Yuma and then continued on, we had to stop about 30 minutes or so before we arrived in Mesa. Tre was getting fussy, hungry and needed to get in his jammies since he was going to fall asleep before we arrived. I changed his diaper, put his jammies on and nursed him and then we put him back in the car seat and about 10 minutes after, he fell asleep. We arrived at the motel and unpacked. Once we got everything unpacked we moved Tre into his pack'n play and hung out with the lights out and played on the computer until it was time for bed.

Monday, April 27th was the funeral for Jammer's Aunt. Tre decided to take a pretty good length nap in the morning so we missed the viewing portion and arrived late to the funeral. But luckily we made it in time to experience most of it. After the funeral everyone caravan'd over to the grave site and then back to the church for a luncheon where Jammer got to visit with all of his family that attended. He was grateful to see so many of his family that he hadn't seen in quite a while and Tre and I were able to meet family we had never met before. It's unfortunate that something like this is what brings family together but I guess on the lighter side of things it does bring family closer together. So our drive home was quite a bit later than we had originally anticipated and Tre's midday nap was totally messed up. Since we didn't get on the road until much later than we had hoped Tre didn't end up taking an afternoon nap so he was a little monster on the drive home. Overtired and frustrated and would not fall asleep. Even when he did finally fall asleep he woke up every 30 minutes whining, it was a LONG ride home. We finally got home and we were exhausted, Tre was so happy to be laying in his crib, after being crammed in his car seat for hours and hours, he spread out as far as his limbs could reach and slept on his tummy. Road trips are difficult with a little one, hopefully being on a plane will be easier. At least then we can get up and walk around when necessary rather than being confined to a car where he has to stay in his car seat.

Tuesday, April 28th was a crazy day! The earlier portion was good, Tre and I hung out with Jammer and had lunch at Submarina after his morning nap. Then after Tre's afternoon nap we went over to Allison and Cole's house to go for a walk to the park. Here is where the crazy begins...we were getting our strollers together to get on our walk, I grabbed mine out of my car with Tre in my arms so I was only sort of paying attention. So I didn't catch the fact that I locked my keys in the trunk. Got everyone (Tre & Noa) in the stroller and we were ready to go for our walk when I realized that I didn't have my keys. We continued our walk and went to the park and then after about 30 minutes we decided it'd probably be best to go back home so I could call AAA and get my car opened. Well after an hour of waiting for AAA I called them to see what was going on and there was some confusion and documentation in my account that said that they couldn't get into my car however no one ever showed up. Ultimately they told me that only a locksmith could get into my car and it would be 90 minutes until he got there. At this point it was already 6pm and Tre was getting hungry and tired and I had a board meeting at 7pm. I decided to call around to see if any of my neighbors could help me out. Finally one of my neighbors was able to help me get into my house to get my keys and I picked them up driving Allison's car to get them and then came back with my spare key. Such a pain but thankfully we got home with my car and got Tre fed and in bed. Poor little guy was SO tired and could hardly eat his dinner. I was very late to my board meeting, didn't get there until 7:45pm. Needless to say, it was a rough day and I was exhausted!

Wednesday, April 29th we ran some errands and grabbed some food. Then after Tre's afternoon nap we went over to Allison & Cole's house to test out some cupcakes that Allison had made in preparation for Cole's 1st birthday party. Well, I was there to test them, Tre just came along for the ride (and to visit his friend)...hehe! Cole was napping when we got to their house so he was fresh and playful when he woke up so him and Tre were being SO cute playing together. Then when it was Tre's snack time I felt like I was feeding little birdlings, Cole decided it was his snack time as well so they were both facing me with their mouths wide open and whenever Cole would get too close to me Tre would pull on his shirt to pull him back as if saying, "back off, that's my snack and my mom". But Cole being that he is much bigger stood his ground. On top of the two boys wanting the snacks I had the dogs (Allison has 3 dogs and Noa comes with me when I go over there) so 2 of Allison's dogs were circling me as well as Noa.

Last thing on the development front, Tre has continued to make it through the remainder of the week without needing to nurse in the middle of the night. He has not however stopped waking up, so it was only that one night that he slept through the night. But he basically just wants his pacifier and then will fall right back to sleep. He is getting two teeth so I think that is part of the reason that he continues to wake up in the middle of the night.

Happy 41 Week Birthday Tre

This week has been pretty mellow in regards to going and doing things with the playgroup.

Thursday, April 16th, we ended up going to the YMCA for swimming so that Jammer and I could both swim with Tre since we had yet to do that. We swam for a little bit and then headed home for Tre's nap. The rest of the day we just hung out. Unfortunately, since we were both swimming we didn't get to get any pics.

Friday, April 17th, my Mom, my sister Jennifer, her kids McKenna, Jadenn & Masonn came to visit. We went to Buca di Beppo and while eating our lunch Tre surprised me with eating some puffs and placing them in his mouth multiple times on his own. However, every once in a while a puff misses his mouth and one of the ones he ate actually got stuck on his nose and we got a pic of it. It was so funny! Now he is feeding himself pretty regularly with his snacks. After Tre woke up from his nap I met Jammer's Mom at the lagoon for a walk, it was nice weather and the walk was refreshing. It's so funny, Tre has been sitting in his stroller with his left arm hanging off the side like he's driving a car or something with his arm out. Jammer's Mom and I were laughing about this and had to take a picture because it was just too cute! Then Jammer got home from work to help with the nighttime routine.

Tre rolling elbow out...

Tre and his Tutu...

Saturday, April 18th we ran some errands (went to Trader Joe's and Tre got a balloon that matched his shirt, too bad I didn't get a picture of it, he was being so cute playing with this balloon in his orange shirt and his orange balloon). But I did get a cute video of him playing peek a boo with his play mat.

Sunday, April 19th we ran a quick errand and then my friend Nicole (who was visiting from Oregon) came by to visit with Tre and I. It was great to see her and Tre had grown so much since the last time she saw him.

Monday, April 20th we were supposed to go to a lunch meetup with our playgroup but Tre took a marathon nap and we missed it altogether. I wasn't about to wake him up for the lunch since it's good that he is napping so well and I figure he needs the rest otherwise he would've woken up on his own. We went over to our neighbor Kate's house (she has a son named Liam that is a year older than Tre) for a short while and Tre played with Liam and my other neighbor's son Terje (sort of played with them, hehe, more like played around them, one day they'll be on the same playing field). It was nice to get out of our house as it was SOOO...hot and their house was downstairs and much cooler than ours. Since it was so warm after Kate's house Tre and I got our suits on and ended up playing in the bathtub (I was too lazy to go down to the pool). Then it was time for Tre to eat dinner and get ready for bed. He skipped his afternoon nap today, I tried to get him to relax but either it was too hot or he just wasn't tired after his long nap, but that quickly caught up to him and made for a difficult time putting him to bed.

Tuesday, April 21st Jammer had the day off. We took Tre swimming and swam for about 20 mins or so all of us together. Jammer had to get out a few mins early for a work phone call (yep, even on his days off Verizon makes him work sometimes, ugh). To my benefit though, he was able to take a picture of me and Tre while we were in the pool so that was nice to at least have a couple pics of Tre and I in the water. After swim we went to lunch and then I brought Tre home to take a nap and Jammer had to stop off at his old store to do some work related stuff. After that he got home and we played with Tre for a little bit and then decided to go down to our pool here and swim a little more since we didn't get a very long swim earlier. Then we went for a walk to the library and the local yogurt shack.

Wednesday, April 22nd...it was Earth day today. So Allison and I had planned to go over to Rock'n Sprouts for their little Earth day celebration. We met up in downtown Carlsbad Village area and had some lunch. Then went over to Rock'n Sprouts and planted some cute little plants in pots that we brought. Rock'n Sprouts had a place set up with all the supplies to plant some plants or seeds. I had planted a basil seed little pot as well but somehow it got lost in the shuffle of packing up Tre in the car. Such a bummer. Then we took our boys home for their naps and met up again over at Allison's house so the kids could play until dinnertime.

Week 40 Videos

Here are the videos from Week 40.

Saturday, April 11, 2009, this is of Tre scooting in his bedroom. We were hanging out in his room before bedtime. He was scooting all over the room and then when I brought out the camera I had to entice him a little to get him going. This is two videos combined into one, it's pretty dark because of it being just before bed so hopefully you are able to view it okay.

Tuesday, April 14, 2009 when we went to the YMCA to swim I had forgotten the camera so I decided to use my cellphone to capture a little video...

Wednesday, April 15, 2009 when we were at the park for our belated Easter egg hunt Tre was being so funny and making this face I have began to call the "squinchy face"...

Later on that day after Tre's midday nap he was scooting around on the floor and continued to make that "squinchy face" so of course I had to record it again and a little bonus was the fact that I swear I heard him say "Hi Dada" after he says Dada, you be the judge...

Lastly, this same day Tre and his scooting, getting better and quicker, I had him going after an Easter egg and little Noa decided to push it around a bit and it ended up getting closer and closer to Tre (I think Noa was working for Tre on this situation, hehe)...

Happy 40 Week Birthday Tre

Thursday, April 9th was Tre's 9 month birthday as posted on my 9 month post. I still can't believe it! My little man is getting so big and growing in so many ways.

Friday, April 10th Tre and I had planned to attend two different Easter egg hunts for the two playgroups we are a part of, however the weather wasn't supposed to be so great so they were both in limbo of being cancelled. The earlier Easter egg hunt that was scheduled for noon was cancelled because it started to rain a bit around 10:30am-ish and the grass would most likely be wet and it was expected to be a bit cold for the egg hunt. It was such a bummer to have that event cancelled because there was supposed to be a lot of kids there which would've been fun. So instead we ended up going to meet Jammer for lunch down in La Jolla. We ate at Sammy's and little Tre was such a good boy sitting in his high chair the whole time. The afternoon Easter egg hunt was so up in the air up until we arrived and called the organizer to see if she was planning on coming. The turnout was pretty small but it was fun to at least have a few people get together for an egg hunt. Not that Tre was much of a hunter being that he isn't fully mobile yet. But he got to play with some eggs and hang out.

Saturday, April 11th we didn't have anything planned so we just played the day be ear and hung out at the house as well as run a few errands. Tre has been trying very hard to crawl, I don't know exactly what you would call this move he is doing but he is getting around on his own. He still gets frustrated at times but is getting better at persevering through it. I took a couple videos of him trying to cruise around his room and then combined them into one. It was a little bit before Tre's bedtime so he is in his jammies. I'm going to upload a video post as soon as I can, it takes FOREVER to upload the videos sometimes and I need to get this post done.

Sunday, April 12th was Easter so we had planned on going up to my parent's house. Tre had his morning nap and then when he woke up we packed ourselves up and headed up to Orange County. We had a bit of traffic so just about 10 minutes before we arrived Tre had fallen asleep so we dropped off Noa and my food at my parents and drove around for a little bit to give Tre a little longer nap. Once he woke up we went back to my parents and hung out. There was yummy food and we were excited for the big Easter egg hunt. It was a fun day!

Monday, April 13th was Tre's 9 month check up appointment with his pediatrician. His measurements were as follows...
Height was 29 inches long which is in the 72nd percentile, weight was 20 pounds 13 ounces which is in the 55th percentile and his head measured 48 cms which is above 97th percentile. WOW! So we are happy to say he is tall for his age and is VERY smart (big brain). Hehe! He didn't have to get any shots at this appointment, just got his hemoglobin test to check for anemia. The results were pretty quick while we were checking out they told us that he was very healthy so we are happy about that!

Tuesday, April 14th was another of Tre's swim classes however the weather was really yucky and too cold to take him to his actual swim class because the pool is outdoor so we decided to go check out the YMCA in Encinitas and see if it might be somewhere we might want to become a member at to use their indoor pool and all the other amenities of the YMCA. We got a tour of the location and then we got a day pass to check out the features the location has to offer. After our tour was over we decided to use the pool since they had family swim time for an hour. I didn't have my swimsuit with me but Jammer & Tre did so they got in the water and swam for a bit. After Tre's afternoon nap we went to Costco and got a few things and then came home with dinner from Pat & Oscar's.

Wednesday, April 15th was the rescheduling of the Easter egg hunt with one of my playgroups that got cancelled on Friday. However, the weather was pretty windy, it was nice and sunny but the winds were pretty intense. Allison & Cole met Tre & I at Rubio's over in the Bressi Ranch area where our egg hunt was to take place and we grabbed some lunch, then headed over to the grassy area that the egg hunt was supposed to take place at. We met up with 2 other moms and their kids who showed up but they were concerned about the winds and ended up leaving. Allison and I decided to hang out for a bit and threw all the eggs out on the grass for Tre and Cole to play with. Closer to the grass the wind wasn't as bad so we laid low. Hehe. My friend Tiff stopped by on her way to work to say Hi. So we hung out for a bit and then came home for Tre's nap. After Tre's nap we went over to Allison & Cole's house and hung out there until Jammer got off work so we could do Tre's evening routine together.

When taking Tre's weekly picture he was doing this squinchy face and I caught it on camera because it was such a crack up...

Some developmental updates are...
Tre is getting around a room pretty well, it's not an actual crawl but it's his way of moving around for now. He is trying to stand up a bunch, pulling himself up from sitting on my lap to hang on to the couch. His balance is still a bit off but each day he gets better and better.

Tre is 9 Months Old

9 Months...Wow! Unfortunately nothing really exciting was planned for today. We went to Target and the grocery store to pick up some things and then after Tre's nap we went for a walk at the Lagoon. Then when we got done with our walk we came home and then Jammer came home and played with Tre while I got Tre's dinner ready.
Since most of the day consisted of regular errands and things there wasn't much for pictures to be taken.

Tre's scooting is getting better, closer to crawling but not quite there yet. He is not a huge fan of being on his tummy and would prefer to stand up but he has been going from sitting position to his tummy quite a bit these days. I should have some good videos and pics for this coming week's update....stay tuned! :)

So here are the only two pics I have so far of Tre from the Rock'n Sprouts photo shoot...

Happy 39 Week Birthday Tre

Thursday, April 2nd was a pretty cold day and we were supposed to go to swim class. I made the executive decision and decided not to get in the water. The wind was blowing and I was not about to get in the water. I had to stop by the swim class to bring a friend from class her camera that they left there on Tuesday so we went to check things out and it was pretty cold when we were hanging out and we weren't even in the water. It was a bummer to miss class but I think it was better to keep Tre warm than to jump in and potentially freeze a bit.

Friday, April 3rd we ran some errands in the morning and then had a lagoon walk in the afternoon. Funny how some events seem like a good amount of people are going to show up but then only one other person shows up. That happened for the lagoon walk. I was actually late because I thought the walk started at 3:30pm but they changed the time and I didn't know so when I got there at 3:30pm there was one mom and her daughter hanging out and she told me that she had been there since 3pm, sad for her that she sat around and waited wondering what was going on. It was one of her first meetups so I felt bad for her. I'm just glad that one other person showed up. I would've done the walk anyway though since it's such a nice walk.

Saturday, April 4th Tre and I made a Costco run after his morning nap to pick up some things and then after his midday nap we went over to Rock'n Sprouts store for their Kid Friendly Happy Hour. We recently purchased Tre his very own jumperoo since he loved playing on Cole's. We had to get some video of Tre bouncing in that thing because he was just having too much fun.
video

How funny is this picture...it looks like Tre is trying to show me how tough he is...

Sunday, April 5th we were supposed to go to a Hullabaloo concert but Tre's schedule was totally off so he was down for a nap during the concert.

Monday, April 6th we went to visit my friend Helen and Noa's favorite little pom pom, Pookie. This was the first time Helen had met Tre and funnily enough I had been at her house probably pretty close to exactly a year ago (just before Easter 2008) when I was pregnant. We hung out there for a bit and then Tre came home for his nap. And then hung out with Allison & Cole and went for a walk till it was time to go home for dinnertime.

Tuesday, April 7th was swim class, or at least we thought so. Come to find out when we got there that the 7th & 9th were not class dates for us since it is Spring Break. A bunch of didn't know and showed up for class so they let us swim anyways and we just floated around in the water and played with our kids and did our own thing. That's actually pretty much all I had wanted to do anyways, the weather wasn't the greatest and I was pretty cold but it wasn't as cold as Thursday so I was determined to get in the water since Tre didn't get to swim on Thursday. He had a blast as usual. At the end of class one of the little girls in Tre's swim class was intrigued with the ball Tre was playing with so she was hanging out at Tre's stroller checking it out. Then we met Allison & Cole and Lisa & her daughter Aryana at the Flower Fields. The goal was to get some great "Spring" type pictures of our kids and check out the beautiful flowers. Getting the right picture was a bit more difficult than anticipated as there wasn't much for flowers that our kids could sit next to or among and get a good picture. We tried many things...holding them up with flowers in front of them, sitting them among a few flowers by the kiddie area and things along those lines. I think a few of the pics turned out good though.

Today, Wednesday, April 8th was a no plans day. Tre has been changing his schedule a bit the past two days, he has been waking up at different times and taking pretty long morning naps (something I wouldn't normally complain about on a day like today but yesterday was pretty stressfull trying to get him ready at lightening speed for swim class). Then due to the long morning nap he has been hard to put down for his 2nd nap, but I've experienced worse so it wasn't too tough.

Tre has been a very vocal kid, constantly baby talking. I can finally say that he is saying Dada to the point of understanding and we got it on video on a few separate occasions. The first video was from March 5, 2009 but it was from my cellphone since we didn't have our video camera with us, so that's part of the reason for the delay in posting it because I had to get it off my phone to put on my computer, Tre was being so cute saying Dada while we were visiting Jammer on his lunch break. Listen closely as you can hear our little boy Tre say Dada...
video

Then on Monday, April 6th we were able to get it on actual video on two separate occasions, once in the morning after Tre's breakfast and then in the afternoon when Jammer had gotten home from work. This is much clearer...

Tomorrow is Tre's 9 month birthday. Can you believe he is going to be 9 months?

Happy 38 Week Birthday Tre

So I've really been into video lately, especially because I want to be prepared at that moment that Tre officially crawls...so everything has been more fun in video this week. So I hope you enjoy getting to watch Tre in action a bunch...

Thursday, March 26th was swim class with Jammer while I watched the two of them. Tre is getting much more comfortable in the water. His little froggy kick has sort of turned into an actual kick with a splash sometimes. So cute! He really enjoys playing on the kick board but still isn't much of a fan of going underwater. I think that one will take a few more tries, he'll just have to do it more and get the hang of it. :::click here to see more swimming pics from this class:::

Friday, March 27th, we went to visit Jammer at his new store (which by the way, for those of you that hadn't heard Jammer was promoted 2 weeks ago and is running his own store in La Jolla now, bummer that it is further away but great for him to have been moved up to store manager of his own location). Allison, Cole, Tre and I were planning on going to Pottery Barn Kids at UTC which is right across the street from Jammer's work so we thought it'd be fun to have lunch with Jammer while we were in the area. On the way home from UTC both Cole & Tre napped, when we got to Allison's house they woke up so they at least got a 30 minute nap in. After that Tre and I went over to Moonlight Beach Park to meet up with my friend Rachel and her daughter Ava. We hadn't seen them in a while so I was excited to see them. We chose a location that my playgroup had planned to meet at but we were about an hour later than the meetup time so most of the group was gone but Amy & Emily. Emily is the little girl in the video that Tre was talking a bunch at the park that I had posted a few ago. So Tre, Ava and Emily played for a little while. It was a beautiful day, but I left my camera at home. Nice work!

Saturday, March 28th, was a beach day. Tre took his morning nap and then Allison, Cole, Tre and I went to Ponto Beach for some awesome weather! The boys had a lot of fun and ended up becoming little sand children, covered in sand. Since Tre is trying to crawl he would end up with his face in the sand a few times but it didn't seem to bother him too much. Then Tre's Tutu & Grandpa stopped by the house to visit with Tre before Tre's much needed bath from all the sand and bedtime.

Sunday, March 29th was the Rock'n Sprouts photo shoot. We arrived at the Oceanside Harbor around 10:30am and was there till around 12ish. Since Tre was the overall winner of the model search he got to keep the outfits they put him in. We got some super cute stuff. Tre did so well, he didn't fuss at all and he loved the photographer and just smiled at her whenever she would call his name. I can't wait to see the pictures from the shoot. All the kids were so cute! One kid that I just adored because he was so good with Tre and so cautious of the fact that he was a baby and could possibly flop over. His name is Noah (funny huh? Noah got a kick out of the fact that my dog's name is Noa - since Noa came along for the ride). So anytime Noah would see Tre wobble he would put his arm behind Tre's back to make sure he didn't fall back. SO SWEET. It turned out to be the owner's son. Tre really liked him, I think Tre could sense Noah's great energy. I was grateful for Noah among the group of kids because Tre was the youngest and needed someone like Noah for the group shots. I'll definitely be sharing the photos as soon as I get to see them! The rest of the day, Tre and I just hung out. Tre has been pretty picky about eating anything chunky, so I haven't really attempted all that much to feed him any finger foods, but today I thought I would try again with the Gerber Puffs. It must've been good timing because he ate 10 of them without spitting out a single one, which is a first! Woo-Hoo! We went over to Allison & Cole's house for a short while since Tre was getting antsy at our house. We played on Cole's bouncy horse, which Tre LOVED. I took a video of him because it was so cute.

Monday, March 30th was a mellow day. Tre and I ran some errands in the earlier part of the day and then went to hang out with Allison and Cole.

Tuesday, March 31st, Tre had his swim class and Jammer had the day off so he swam with Tre in class. Tre is getting SO good at swimming. He is even splashing his hands AND kicking his feet now. I took video of it because it was just something that I had to share (and save for our own eyes). We grabbed some lunch after swim and then back to the house for Tre's nap. Jammer went surfing while Tre was sleeping and then we went for a walk to the library with Allison & Cole. After the library we hung at Allison & Cole's house for a bit and then back home for dinner and bedtime for Tre. :::click here for this classes swim pictures:::

Tre getting dunked by Jammer...

Wednesday, April 1st, so it's April Fool's today and I have no tricks up my sleeve. Not that I was ever any good at the April Fool's thing anyways. So no jokes today! Jammer was sad to have to work today, so he left to work the late shift after being able to hang with us in the morning and then say goodbye to Tre when he woke up from his morning nap so that was a plus before leaving for work. We went to Costco today and picked up some things. Then went for a walk to the library with Allison & Cole to pick up some books. Before we went over to Allison & Cole's, Tre and I were playing in his room. He has been getting better and better at scooting around a room, especially when he is playing with something and chasing it around. I got this video of Tre in his room playing with a box (funny the things that interest kids).

Tre updates, he is such a cuddlebug when it is time for naptime it is getting more and more precious as he lays his head on your shoulder when putting him down for a nap. He is more active in his crib when he wakes up from a nap, rolling all over the place. I took a video of him rolling around in his crib and trying to get momentum to reach the side rail and peek over. Before the camera came out he was even crazier.

A pretty cool thing is that Tre has started signing the sign for "milk". At least I think he has, it has actually been going on for a few weeks now but I wasn't really paying attention all that much until I started to notice that his hand was doing the sign while he was nursing. He doesn't sign the sign to let me know he wants milk he more just seems to fuss a bit but while nursing he is doing the sign. That's the only obvious sign I have seen so far. But pretty exciting and makes me want to really focus on using them more often in more ways now that he is older.
