Tre is trying to walk everywhere! He doesn't like to sit all that much, he just crawls over to me and climbs up me to hold my hands and begins to walk. My back has been straining to walk everywhere holding his hands. He has also gotten ANOTHER tooth which gives him a grand total of 12 teeth. It's on the other side on the top, I think another premolar (bicuspid). I can only feel inside his mouth since he won't let me actually look. Can't believe all these teeth he has!
Thursday, May 21st Jammer had the day off so we decided to take Tre swimming after his morning nap. The water was a little cold but Tre didn't mind. My friend Lisa came down to visit and Jammer's Dad came over and went swimming with Jammer & Tre while Lisa and I picked up lunch and watched them play in the water. After Tre's afternoon nap we went to his friend Ella's 1st birthday party at Aviara park. There were a bunch of kids from Tre's play group there all either wandering around or lounging on a blanket. Yummy red velvet cupcakes that I got to enjoy and bring one home for Jammer. Thanks Sarah!
Friday, May 22nd Tre and I had a mellow day, no plans so we just went to Costco and picked a few things up after playing for a bit at the house. Then Jammer got off work and we went for a walk at Tamarack Beach and got some cute video of Tre and Jammer walking on the beach together.
Saturday, May 23rd was our friends' son, Connor's 1st birthday party. After Tre's morning nap I got him fed and ready and then we went down to Point Loma where our friends live, there was a bit of holiday traffic so it took us a little longer than planned so of course Tre fell asleep 5 minutes before we got there. He ended up taking a 30 minute nap and then we joined the party. It was a fun day of spending time with friends and celebrating Connor's birthday. Tre had fun playing with Connor's new toys and riding in Connor's swing.
Sunday, May 24th we went to Stone Brewery to meet up with my mommy play group and had fun lunching there. It took a little longer than anticipated for lunch to arrive and Tre was overdue for his nap so that was a bit difficult. On the way home Tre was super tired and fell quickly to sleep when I took him to his room. He slept for a little bit and then we went over to Grandview beach to meet up with Jammer's Mom (Tre's Tutu) who was hanging out on the beach while Jammer and his Dad were surfing. Tre had his Tutu helping him walk all over the beach.
Monday, May 25th we spent the morning playing with easter eggs while I attempted to put laundry away. Sometimes I am pretty lucky that Tre will entertain himself enough so I can get some chores done. Most of the time that's not the case, but today was a good day! After Tre's afternoon nap Jammer, Tre and I went outside to play with bubbles, Tre was very intrigued with the bubbles, he kept wanting to walk after them. After that we went for a walk to the yogurt shop across the street and got some yummy frozen yogurt. Then Jammer's parents came over to BBQ, yummy food! Tre got to play with is Tutu and then she fed him some of his dinner.
Tuesday, May 26th Tre is officially crawling on his knees more than just a little bit. He still "surfer crawls" to get there quicker but from sitting position he has learned to get to his knees and crawl a little bit from there. I captured an action shot, which wasn't the greatest pic but he was moving and very close to me so it was the best I could do. After Tre's morning nap which was a nice lengthy nap we got ready and met Allison & Cole at Buca di Beppo for lunch, after lunch we went to City Kids to see their selection of hats for swimming and then to Target. After Target I took Tre home to attempt an afternoon nap, but even though he was very sleepy on my shoulder as soon as I laid him down he almost could've gone to sleep until the painters outside started slamming their ladder onto the building right next to Tre's window, after that afternoon nap was a lost cause. I let him hang out in there for a little bit until he attempted to climb the crib and I figured it'd be best to get him before he learns to launch himself over. We went over to Allison & Cole's to play for a few until it was time to get home and off to bed for my very tired boy.
Wednesday, May 27th Jammer had the day off. After Tre's morning nap we hung out with him for a bit and then I took Tre to a park play date at a park in Encinitas called Cottonwood Creek Park. We hung out there for a bit and then came back to put Tre down for his afternoon nap. After his nap we went to Costco to pick up some things and then came home and got Tre ready for his nighttime routine. A funny thing about today is Tre found his tongue and was playing with it and sticking it out a bunch. It's funny when he figures something out that he can do, he really focuses on it. Also, he has been able to balance when crawling with just one hand on the ground to grab something so his balance is improving so much. He even can stand up and hold on to something and then let go with the other hand for a few seconds. It's scary and exciting all at the same time to think Tre could be walking within the next month.
Here are some more pics from this past week...

Now this isn't the clearest pic since he was on the move, I hope to get a better one soon, but here is Tre crawling...
I have to start this post with the fact that my little man has popped out his 11th tooth! Can you believe it? 11 teeth at 10 months old. It's pretty crazy to me. The past few teeth have seem to be a bit more painful than the others but he has been such a trooper and not at all the whiney baby I would think I would be if my teeth were coming in and bugging me (he is such a happy baby, I feel so lucky). He has gotten his 2 bottom canine teeth and I think this 11th is a premolar (bicuspid). Not exactly sure because Tre is making it very difficult to see inside his mouth but I could feel it.
Thursday, May 14th Jammer had the day off so when Tre woke up from his morning nap we went to get the car washed and then went out to lunch. After Tre's afternoon nap Tre and I went over to our friend Kelly's house to go swimming. It was a little windy but luckily their pool was heated a bit so it wasn't too cold and we hung out there for a little while. Tre was having an absolute blast swimming, he wanted to splash and kick like as if he already knew how to swim and would even try to push off of me like as if he could swim without my help. He is a definite water baby, loves the water SO much!
Friday, May 15th Tre and I played in his play area and then we went for a walk to the grocery store and back for Tre's little nap that took a while to achieve. We then met over at the Lagoon for a nice afternoon walk, both Allison and I were late to the meetup so we walked together and ran into a couple other moms on their way back. I finally got a picture of Tre in our new stroller. He was such a good boy on the walk, didn't fuss at all so I'm thinking maybe he might be getting used to the stroller and actually even liking it, I know I do and hope he loves it too! I got a few videos of Tre from this day. Earlier in the day when we were playing he was hanging out in my room (sorry it's kind of messy, laundry baskets behind Tre). He was so content playing with his easter basket and the easter eggs (yes, I still have that stuff out since Tre loves to play with them). I had to get him on video just hanging out entertaining himself. Then to let him know I was filming him and to see his adorable reaction and attempt at some words.
The second video is just before dinnertime, that's why it's kind of dark, Tre's room doesn't get much light so it's hard to get bright video in there. Jammer was almost home so Tre and I were playing in Tre's room while he was eating some Cheerios, he was being so funny that I had to video him and then the highlight of it is at the end he hears Jammer sneeze when he got home and perked up to anxiously await his Dada to come in his room to see him, then he turned the camera off when he got too close. So that brings us to the third video which was when Jammer came into the room and Tre's excitement, this video is short because the camera ran out of space. Hehe.
Saturday, May 16th after Tre's morning nap we got ready and met Allison & Cole down in La Jolla. She had to get a new phone so we went and met Jammer for lunch and then after lunch she got set up with a new phone. On the way home Tre fell asleep in the car so I ended up just driving until we got close to home and then heading in the direction of Trader Joe's since I had to pick something up from there and figured by the time I arrived Tre would most likely wake up, which happened, he did get a few minutes over a 30 minute nap so that's good. After Trader Joe's we stopped off at Party City and then over to Allison & Cole's house for swimming. The pool was pretty cold but we toughed it out because our boys didn't seem to mind. Since Allison & Cole are moving pretty soon (which we are so sad about) we have been making plans to get the boys together as much as possible. They are only moving up to Canyon Lake but it's definitely not 5 minutes away like they have been. This picture is TOO cute of the boys in their floaties.
Sunday, May 17th, Tre learned how to pull himself up in his crib! Uh-Oh! So we ended up lowering his crib. Before we lowered the crib we had to get a picture of our proud little boy standing up, so happy! We went up to my parent's house for my sister, Jill's birthday dinner. Shortly after we got up to OC it was time for Tre to take his nap. After Tre woke up from his nap we all hung out outside, the weather was nice and warm, I kind of wished that I had brought Tre's swim diaper and trunks so he could get in the water. He was staring at the pool and you could tell he was thinking that he would like to go in there. Tre ate his dinner and then we ate ours and Tre was being a little character while we were all eating, he was talking and making a lot of noise cracking us up. Plus since I left his bib at home my mom told me about a bib she had that was mine from when I was a baby so we decided to put it on Tre, even though it is pink I still thought it was special that he was wearing my bib. Getting Tre home was a bit difficult, he wasn't too bad in the car but the transfer from the car to his bed was horrible. He screamed when it came time to being laid down in his crib, it took me over an hour to get him to calm down and finally fall asleep. I was exhausted from driving home and then had to do that as well. It was a rough night for me!
Tre and I with him wearing my bib from when I was a baby (it says "Donelle" around the neckline)...
Here is a cute video of Tre while we were driving up to my parent's house:
Monday, May 18th, still tired from the night before, but had a fun impromptu play date at my friend Sarah's house. She has an adorable little girl named Elizabeth who is just too cute. Tre and Elizabeth kept trying to trade pacifiers, it was a crack up! Then Tre came home and took a nap, a much needed nap since he didn't sleep very well the night before and his morning nap was messed up from the power washing going on at our place (getting new paint). After his nap we went to Hidden Canyon Park (late but a couple moms were still hanging out with their kids). Tre and I hung out for a bit and then came home.
Tuesday, May 19th my cousin Isabelle and her son Liam came down to visit. We went to Rock'n Sprouts so Isabelle could get something cute for Liam and then we went and had some lunch. Liam is such a cutie! I tried to get a picture of them while they were in their strollers but it was so hard to get them both to look at the same time. I finally at least got the pic I posted here but both the boys look so serious, the others that I took neither of them have their eyes open. Bummer! After hanging out with them for a while we came home in hopes that Tre would take a nap, yep, another afternoon nap skipped. He hung out in his crib for about 25 minutes without fussing and was just playing, then he began to cry and finally I decided to take him out and we went for a walk at Tamarack beach. He enjoyed the walk and you wouldn't have even known he didn't take his nap. Once we got home though he was pretty frustrated. I think his teeth might be bothering him or something because he was out of the ordinary fussy, even after not taking an afternoon nap he tossed and turned when it was time for bed. Then woke up a little less than an hour after he fell asleep crying SO loud but after a few minutes went back to sleep.
Wednesday, May 20th we went down to Solana Beach to meet up with some of the moms from our play group. We ate at Rubio's, had a cupcake at Cupcake Love (which I ended up running over with the stroller, luckily in it's container so it was still edible but mushed, so frustrating considering it was a $3 cupcake which is outrageous) and then went for a walk to the park down the street. Then after that, he took a nap and then we went over to Allison & Cole's house and went swimming. Tre was a splashing and kicking maniac! He sure does love to swim!
Here is a picture of Tre at the park that we went to today...I thought it was a great view...
Thursday, May 7th Jammer had the day off so after Tre's morning nap we went to lunch at Joey's Smokin BBQ at the shopping center across the street from our house, then back to the house for some playtime and then Tre's afternoon nap. Jammer and his Dad took that time to fix our constantly running toilets (thankfully they are FINALLY fixed). That was awesome to have that accomplished because it was getting pretty exhausting to have to turn off and on the water valve after every time we needed to flush. After the toilets were fixed, Jammer, Tre and I went out to the pool since it was so warm I thought a dip in the pool before Tre needed a bath would be a fun thing to do. I got Tre a car shaped floatie for the pool so it would be easier to take him in without having to hold him the whole time so we wanted to try that and see how Tre liked it. At first he was kind of confused but then when he realized it beeped and the steering wheel was fun to bite and all that he started to enjoy it. I took some cute pics and a video of him in the water with Jammer.
Friday, May 8th was Tre's friend Cole's 1st birthday party at Aviara Park. Jammer let me use his car for the party so I could bring the balloons to the party. Allison had gotten 24 balloons and Vons had filled them up SO much that the car was packed with balloons. Tre's hair was standing up from all the static electricity. The party was a fun event and a lot of people showed up for it and Cole got some great gifts. Then that afternoon I met a couple friends at Tamarack beach for a walk. And lastly that evening my friend Monet had a book club gathering at her house. So I met some of her friends and we hung out talked about the book which was "The Secret Life of Bees" and then talk about other random stuff. It was a fun-filled day!
Saturday, May 9th I met Allison and Cole at REI to go take a look at B.O.B. strollers. Jammer had told me that he had planned to get me a new stroller for Mother's Day so I did some research to find out what the best option would be and hands down the B.O.B. stroller won. It is an awesome stroller! After checking out REI we went to lunch at Pei Wei which is in the same shopping center as REI. Then back home for Tre's nap. Then after playing with Tre for a little while in his play area we went back to REI and I picked up my new stroller. Woo-Hoo!
Sunday, May 10th was Mother's Day, I had a great day...Tre took his morning nap and then we got ready to head up to Laguna Beach to meet my Mom and sister Ashley at Johnny Rockets for our traditional get together for Mother's Day, this time adding my little man Tre to the group. It's such a trip to be celebrating Mother's Day as well for myself. The weather turned out to be beautiful and I got to stroll Tre around in his new stroller. I'm not sure how he feels about the stroller yet though, he was kind of fussy and I'm wondering if it's the stroller or what. He is set back a little bit more in this stroller than his old one so I wonder if he is bugged by the fact that he isn't propped up as much. Or it could've been that he was just tired and since he was needing a nap soon he just wasn't happy. He was very happy once my sis and my Mom took turns holding him, of course, he LOVES that. After walking around and checking out all the little booths that were set up we went back home and took a stroll around the neighborhood with Jammer. We went down below our house where there is a trailer with house information for the new homes that are being built behind our complex (just out of curiosity we wanted to see what kind of info they had). Then Jammer picked up some food for us for dinner after Tre went to bed and we watched a movie, then to bed.
Monday, May 11th we were supposed to go to the Hullabaloo show in Encinitas but Tre didn't wake up in time to go so Tre & I ended up going to Costco instead (not quite as exciting but needed to be done) and then after Tre's afternoon nap (which took a while to get him to go down) we played for a bit until Jammer got home from work. Then we went to the Carlsbad Outlet Mall to get some new work shoes for Jammer, he's been needing them for quite some time now and we found a great deal on some so he was stoked to get that taken care of. Then back home for our nightly routine. Funny thing with Tre, he has been cruising around at a quicker pace nowadays, so fast that I was in the kitchen finishing up cooking and Tre crawled all the way over to the kitchen to see what I was doing and saw that I was feeding Noa some cheese and he opened his mouth for some too. It was too cute so of course I had to give him some.
Tuesday, May 12th my friend Carrie had planned a pool play date at her place. Tre was a total water baby, we were one of the last in the water over an hour. I was pretty tired by the end. He took a pretty good morning nap so I was worried he wouldn't want to take an afternoon nap but I think he was pretty tired after swimming so he ended up taking a nice nap. Then we went over to Allison's house so Tre and Cole could play. We are very sad because Allison & Cole are moving so Tre and I are very bummed to not have them close by for impromptu play dates. After Tre was done eating and ready for bed I went out to meet some of my mom friends for some food at Las Olas (mexican restaurant in Carlsbad Village area). We were supposed to have our second cooking class but the instructor had to cancel so we decided to get together anyways and get some food. It was nice to get out for some adult time, definitely helps recharge the battery! :) Thanks Lisa, Sarah and Selena for a great night!
Wednesday, May 13th we went to a new park to meet up with some of the moms & kids from our play group. Since Tre took a pretty long morning nap we got a late start and were almost 30 minutes late to the park, but luckily time wasn't too important. We got to Hosp Grove Park around noon. It was an interesting park, only downside is there wasn't any grass for the kids to hang out on, so for those kids that aren't walking yet it was pretty dusty on the ground, however the trees were HUGE there so it had great shade to protect them from the blazing sun which I was happy about since I got a pretty bad sunburn on Tuesday at the pool play date (yes I know, I need to put sunscreen on even on overcast days, I was so distracted that I didn't worry about myself, just Tre). Anyways, we hung out there for a bit and then it was time to get home for a nap or so I thought. Of course, we get home and Tre isn't at all tired. He was crawling around the house, playing with his toys, etc. So we decided to head over to Allison & Cole's house for a little bit and then finally the lack of nap caught up with Tre, nothing major, you could just tell he was finally tired, so I took him home, fed him his dinner and got him ready for bed.
Tre has recently started doing what I thought originally was just his attempt at clapping but have been watching him the past few days and I am starting to think that he is signing his second sign, "More". He does it when he is in his high chair and when we are playing and doing something that he enjoys (which is why I thought he was clapping, but he isn't doing an open hand clap), but when I would ask him if he wants more (during meal time) he would continue to show me that sign and open his mouth like, "Yes, I would like more!" It's been very interesting to try and figure this out. Also, he is talking a little bit more, he is saying "Hi" all the time and now I am getting him to say Hi and to certain people and animals. He is not saying them clearly but I know he is in the right direction, but he has started saying "Hi Noa" (which sometimes kind of sounds close to Dada) and "Hi Mama" along with "Hi Dada" which he has been saying for almost 2 weeks now. Whenever we go to his buddy Cole's house, I tell him to say hi to Cole and he says "Hi" and then mumbles something close to Cole but not quite there yet. I'm trying to teach him "Dude" and Jammer is trying to teach him "Shaka" which I don't think he'll be saying anytime soon, but could definitely sign the sign (which also means play in sign language). Each day is more and more interesting! Also, Tre has gotten another tooth, that will make the grand total at 10 teeth currently! WOW! Oh and this pic, I had to post it because it cracks me up, I love his little tough guy look. Too funny!
The below poem was forwarded to me from a friend and it's amazing how different life can be once you become a mother. I never even fathomed this feeling, couldn't imagine or dream it would be like it is. I feel so blessed to be a mom and can't imagine life being any different now that it has happened.
Happy Mother's Day to all the moms out there, especially my own...love you Mom!
Before I was a Mom...
Before I was a Mom, I never tripped over toys or forgot words to a lullaby. I didn't worry whether or not my plants were poisonous. I never thought about immunizations.
Before I was a Mom, I had never been puked on. Pooped on. Chewed on. Peed on. I had complete control of my mind and my thoughts. I slept all night.
Before I was a Mom, I never held down a screaming child so doctors could do tests. Or give shots. I never looked into teary eyes and cried. I never got gloriously happy over a simple grin. I never sat up late hours at night watching a baby sleep.
Before I was a Mom, I never held a sleeping baby just because I didn't want to put him down. I never felt my heart break into a million pieces when I couldn't stop the hurt. I never knew that something so small could affect my life so much. I never knew that I could love someone so much. I never knew I would love being a Mom.
Before I was a Mom, I didn't know the feeling of having my heart outside my body.. I didn't know how special it could feel to feed a hungry baby. I didn't know that bond between a mother and her child. I didn't know that something so small could make me feel so important and happy.
Before I was a Mom, I had never gotten up in the middle of the night every 10 minutes to make sure all was okay. I had never known the warmth, the joy, the love, the heartache, the wonderment or the satisfaction of being a Mom. I didn't know I was capable of feeling so much, before I was a Mom ...
I forgot to mention in my last post so I figured I would post it here, Tre has been teething (well continually since he was 4 months old) and he has just gotten his 9th tooth and working on the 10th. A little scare when I was at the park the other day with him, I was pushing him on the swings and all of a sudden his mouth started bleeding. It freaked me out, but I looked inside and saw a tooth emerging. Thankfully it was just a little blood from his gums, but it didn't seem to bother him at all. He just looked at me like, "Why'd we stop swinging!" My tough little man!
So...my little buddy is 10 months old and I can't even believe it. I'll be eternally shocked every time I look at him and he is that much older! It never ceases to amaze me how much he changes with each day!
The "surfer crawl" is how he gets around but of course that is not good enough, he wants me to help him stand up so he can walk around. He is using his knees sometimes, but most of the time he just pulls himself around, getting much quicker too. Funny how as soon as he is mobile and able to get around by crawling he isn't satisfied and wants to move on to the next step! I can wait on the walking but if he wants to do it, I guess even Mommy can't stop him. We'll see as the next few months evolve!
He has gotten a lot better at using his sippie cup, even holding it himself and putting it in his mouth to drink (not always throwing it around anymore). Sometimes if the water isn't very full he has trouble actually getting something out of it on his own but he is trying. He is trying to feed himself on occasion, he'll grab the spoon and with my help he'll put the spoon in and eat the food.
He is eating 3 solid meals a day and nurses 4 times a day and is officially not nursing in the middle of the night anymore. Dare I even say he is actually sleeping through the night now as well. Well for the most part, he's woken up here and there for his pacifier (which most of the time he can get it himself).
Jammer has taught him to do high fives and most of the time he follows through when asked. It's super cute! When he hurts me in some way I usually say "Ow!" Since most often it really hurts, he is so dang strong! Well now he is saying "Ow!" as well! It's pretty funny, he'll pull my hair or something and I'll say it and then seconds later he yells it loudly too! So funny!
For Tre's 10 month birthday we went to visit REI to see the B.O.B. strollers (Jammer said he would be getting me one for Mother's Day so I thought I would go check things out). My friend Allison and Tre's buddy Cole came to meet us and we had lunch in the shopping center (Allison has a B.O.B. stroller so she traded with me so I could try hers out). Then came home for Tre's nap. After Tre's nap we played for a bit in his play area and then after a few texts from Jammer while he was at work, we decided that I would go back to REI and pick up my Mother's Day gift. So Tre and I went and picked out the stroller and brought it home. Woo-Hoo! Such a difference this stroller is compared to what I was using, I'm going to have to ease up on the pushing power now that I have this one. Hehe! Jammer got home about 45 mins before Tre needed to get to bed so they played for a bit and then Tre went down to bed and we got my stroller out of the car and all set up.
Can't wait to use my new stroller in Laguna Beach tomorrow while strolling Tre around with my sister Ashley and my Mom for Mother's Day.
We are quickly approaching Tre's 10 month birthday, just 3 days! WOW! I'm going to blink and this kid is going to be all grown up!
Thursday, April 30th Tre took a pretty good morning nap and then we went to go pick up his best buddy, Cole's birthday gift that I have been anxiously awaiting completion of. Can't say what it is yet, not until after Cole's 1st birthday. After visiting with the maker of Cole's gift I grabbed some food and then took Tre home to attempt to put him down for a nap. I say attempt because he actually didn't end up taking a nap. He fussed around in his crib for a little while and ultimately I took him out and we hung out with the lights off in his room for a bit and then we decided to go to the park.
Friday, May 1st was funny, Tre has been moving around quite a bit these days, so when I was in the kitchen making myself a quick bite to eat in the morning after realizing that Tre was being awfully quiet I looked over in his play area and he had crawled underneath one of the chairs trying to get one of Noa's toys. He has also been doing really well at standing up with better balance. Crazy how quick things are developing. Tre then took another long nap. After he woke up from his nap I got him ready to go to lunch. We were meeting Allison, Cole and Allison's Mom in Carlsbad Village. We had a nice lunch and then Tre and I walked around for a bit since he was up for a bit longer. Came home to again attempt to put him down for a nap which never happened, we did the same thing, hung out in his room with the lights off and just sort of relaxed and he quietly played. Then we ran to Costco to pick up a few things and by the time we got back Jammer was home from work so Tre and Jammer were able to play for a bit before dinner and bed.
Saturday, May 2nd Jammer ended up not feeling so great when he woke up and called out sick from work, so he rested a bunch so I had two babies to take care of. ;) Hehe! This was the day that Tre's pictures from Rock'n Sprouts Photo Shoot at the Oceanside Harbor were ready for pick up. I was so excited. Rock'n Sprouts had a kid friendly happy hour from 3-6 so after Tre woke up from his midday nap we headed over to the store to get our disk and hang out for a bit, when I walked in and looked around I was happily surprised to see my handsome little man up in the store, I took a picture because I was so excited about it. Then went home to get the little guy ready for bed.
Sunday, May 3rd Jammer had the day off, good thing because he was still feeling pretty exhausted. Tre had an interesting day, he only took a 15 minute nap. I was taking care of my friend Allison's dogs, so I had to let them out in the morning and played with them for a little while, during that time Jammer was putting Tre to bed for his morning nap and then was watching him on the monitor after he woke up. When I got home I kind of waited until Tre got fussy, since prior to that he was pretty much just chilling in his crib rolling around and making baby talk sounds so I figured it was best that he at least hang out in a dark room for a bit even if he wasn't going to sleep. Then thankfully he took an afternoon nap, so after that one we got ready and went over to the Carlsbad Village Street Faire to visit our friend Lori at her Lotus Baby Clothing booth and some of our friends that were there cruising around (the pic to the side of this paragraph is a pic of Tre designed by Lori at Lotus Baby, she does custom shirt designs and this was what she had done for Tre, so cute). Plus visit our favorite Carlsbad kid boutique Rock'n Sprouts, if any of you locals get a chance to check out the place, you'll see my adorable little baby Tre is featured in the store looking mighty cute (as you can see from the picture above in the window).
Monday, May 4th I had some moms and their babies over for an eyebrow waxing play date. My friend Tiffani who is an esthetician at a spa here in Carlsbad called Bella D'ora Spa came over and set up to do eyebrow waxings while the kids played in Tre's play area. It turned out great and I think everyone enjoyed it so I'll probably try and do something like this in the future. Then in the afternoon after Tre woke up from his nap I went down to Solana Beach to visit my friend Candice who works at Oxygen Medical Spa for a microdermabrasion and cleansing. It was great because Tre was able to come with me and she had him sitting in his stroller right next to me so I could talk to him and reach him if necessary. That was a total plus because one of the main reasons I set up this eyebrow waxing play date was because it is so hard to get out and do these types of things when you have a kid. So Monday was my beauty day! I felt so refreshed after all the special treatment I got! However super exhausted by the end of the day with all that went on.
Tuesday, May 5th...Cinco De Mayo...and Tre's best buddy Cole's 1st birthday! Woo-Hoo! Which means that in just 2 months and a couple days Tre will be following suit and be turning 1 himself! Holy Cow!! So in honor of Cinco De Mayo Tre and I met our friends Laura and her daughter Keely at Fidel's Norte in Carlsbad Village. We enjoyed a yummy lunch and the kids had fun entertaining each other (i.e. stealing each other's toys and stuff, hehe). Then after attempting to put Tre down for a nap, yep another attempt, he hung out in his crib for a bit and sort of rolled around and continually would say, "Hi Dada!" Pretty funny! So after a while of him hanging out in there he started to fuss so I took him out and we played in his play area for a bit and then went down to our friends (and neighbors) Monet and her son Terje's house. Tre was having fun, Terje would show him toys and the two were being very cute with each other. Terje is so cute, he'll say "Hi Tre" with the sweetest little voice. It was a fun day.
Wednesday, May 6th Tre and I met up with some moms and their babies for a little lunch at Bressi Ranch. It was a pretty good turnout for an impromptu get together (6 moms and 7 kids - one of the moms has twins). We hung out there for a bit and then stopped in at Trader Joe's to pick up a few things, then back to the house for a little playtime with Tre and then off for a nap, which I am happy to say he actually took! Woo-Hoo! After Tre woke up from his nap we went over to Allison & Cole's house to see all the cool stuff Cole got for his birthday and to enjoy some birthday cake yum!
A few additional pics...
Allison took Cole to Disneyland for his birthday and they brought Tre back a mouse ears hat with his name on it, Tre actually left it on without even tugging at it...
Here is Tre and Cole in Cole's floatie boat...
Jammer's Dad has been working on a palapa for the backyard of their beach house and he has finally completed it, it looks so nice that I thought I would post a picture of it...
Lastly, here is a video of Tre from today. He has learned how to get into his block box and loves picking out blocks and putting them in his mouth and then throwing them back in the box. Once he realized I was filming him he went after the camera and was getting mad because I kept moving backwards and he had to continue to "surfer crawl" over to me (surfer crawl is what I call Tre's crawl since it looks like he is paddling, hehe). I got him to say "Hi Dada". And then another thing he loves to do is climb up on me to stand up so I tried to get that on video as well. He is just too cute!!
