Saturday, April 10th Jammer had the day off so we hung at the house in the morning, then Tre took a SUPER long nap (almost 3 1/2 hours). He was acting tired about an hour before he went down for bed which was odd but Jammer laid him down and he was out in less than 10 minutes. Once Tre woke up we got him ready and we went to the Palomar Airport Cafe called The Landings in Carlsbad. The teacher of the mommy & me preschool class had told us about it and said it's fun for the kids because of the planes taking off, so we thought we'd check it out. We sat on the patio and Tre was anxious to see some planes. It wasn't quite what I had expected, I thought we'd be able to see the planes better when they took off but they had to be a pretty decent size plane for us to see them and then a big hangar is blocking them as they take off so that was a bummer. Luckily there was a big United Express plane that taxi'd in right next to where we were sitting and was there with activity for a little while so Tre was watching that. After we finished eating we had to stop at Costco to pick up some things, then back to the house. Sunday, April 11th Jammer was supposed to work but he was stoked to find out that he got to take the day off to go to a Lakers game that he and a few other managers had won for work. Lucky boy! Box seats...so Tre and I carried on with our day as if Jammer was at work. We hung at the house in the morning since Jammer didn't leave til around 10am and then after nap we went to run some errands and got home just a little while before Jammer did from the game. Not a very exciting day. Hehe.
Monday, April 12th was a rainy day. But that didn't stop Tre from being absolutely amazing! Today was one of those days where my jaw drops at the things that he can do. First off in the morning he finally transitioned saying "Woa" to "Noa" which I think he was saying out of habit until today he corrected himself. Then while Jammer and Tre were eating breakfast Tre started counting in Spanish, all the way to 8 with no help from either of us! I just thought, seriously? If I was alone would anyone have believed me? Hehe. Tre isn't even 2 yet and he can count to 15 in English and 8 in Spanish, he went to 10 after we told him 9 & 10 in Spanish. Not to mention his ability to get through the alphabet, granted he misses some letters or mumbles over a few but he is getting there at a VERY fast pace. I am a proud Mommy! That afternoon after Tre's nap we went to get pizza. We met our friends Cameron & Amy with their two daughters.
Tuesday, April 13th Jammer had to work and I hadn't been feeling all that great. Not sick, just having some very uncomfortable ligament/muscle pains in my belly. So Tre and I hung at the house in the morning so I could rest. Then after a good nap we went by my friend Allison's house to say Hi and let Tre play with her son Cole to give him some sort of activity that didn't require me to chase him around too much. Then we got home and Jammer had gotten home from work so they got to play for a little bit.
Wednesday, April 14th I still wasn't feeling that great, thankfully Jammer had the day off so we hung at the house with Tre in the morning, then Tre went down for his nap (very easily for Daddy I might add, much easier than the day before), while Tre napped, Jammer surfed. After Tre woke up after a shorter than normal nap, we waited for Jammer to get back from surfing and then he got back and we decided to go across the street to get some food and stop at the grocery store. Then back home for nighttime routine.
Thursday, April 15th Tre and I hung at the house in the morning so I could rest up since I haven't been feeling great. Then after Tre's nap we went to a park in Vista which I really enjoyed because it was fenced in so I didn't have to worry about Tre running too far, plus it was a place people brought their dogs to run around outside of the play area so the kids had some extra entertainment in addition to the park as well. Friday, April 16th we did our morning routine of hanging at the house. The weather was pretty yucky in the morning so I figured we'd wait and see how the afternoon evolved. After nap Tre and I had some lunch and then decided to go get Tre some new books at Borders since we had some time to kill before Jammer got home from work. After stopping in at Borders for some books and getting a few things at Bed Bath and Beyond we went back to the house and Jammer arrived just before us so Tre was VERY excited to see his Daddy arrive home at the same time as him.
Saturday, April 17th was a rather mellow day for Tre and I. Jammer had to close so he we hung out all together in the morning and then Tre went down for nap and Jammer got ready for work. After Tre woke up from nap we hung at the house and had some lunch (or at least I tried to get Tre to eat some lunch, he isn't a big lunch eater these days). Then we played with some toys, ran a quick errand and back to the house for bedtime routine.
Tuesday, April 20th Tre and I didn't do a whole lot. Jammer worked the late shift so in the morning we hung out and I ran a couple errands while Jammer and Tre played at the house. Then after Tre's super long nap (3+ hrs) we were going to meet up with a friend but plans fell through so Tre and I ran a few errands to return some things and buy my Dad's birthday gift. Then back to the house for dinner and bed.
That evening I went to La Jolla to meet up with my friend Stephanie who is in town for work and it happened to be here birthday so myself and few other friends of hers got together for a nice birthday dinner at Piatti's in La Jolla. It was so nice to see Steph and a couple of her other friends that I knew but hadn't seen in a while.
Thursday, April 22nd Jammer had off as well. That morning while I took Tre to preschool class Jammer surfed, then Tre and I got home and shortly after that Jammer got home. He put Tre down for nap and then I got ready to go to my doctor's appointment, which is discussed here. After my doctors' appointment I came home and we went to get some food across the street at El Caribe and stopped at the grocery store. On our way back from that Tre was counting in Spanish and I finally got a decent video of him doing it. Click here to see it.
Friday, April 23rd we hung out with Jammer in the morning (after his meeting and before he had to go back to work). Then after Tre's nap we met up with some of the moms and kiddos from our play group at the strawberry fields to pick our own strawberries. It was actually more fun than I had expected it was going to be. I was worried that I would be chasing Tre the entire time and due to the rainy weather that it would be muddy. But it wasn't as muddy as I thought it would be, even though Tre did manage to find the mud puddle over ankle deep to him so he soaked his shoes and pants. But he did let me pick some YUMMY strawberries before he went on his run up the hills of the fields. On our way home from the Strawberry fields Tre was singing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star and it was so cute I wanted to get it on video, however he said the first line and then realized that his pants were muddy and told me about his pants. Click here to see it.Saturday, April 24th Tre and I hung out at the house in the morning, then while Tre was napping my neighbor/friend Rachel watched the monitor so I could go pick up my sister Jill's birthday present from the engraver before they closed. After Tre woke up from his short nap we met my neighbor/friend at her daughter's school for their elementary school carnival. It was really cute and Tre had fun riding on the "train" (which was a car designed to look like a train) and watching the little race cars go around the mini race track. We got home from the carnival and Jammer got home shortly after us. We packed up our stuff and headed up to my parent's house so Jammer could go to the BMX track the next day with my nephew Masonn for Masonn's friend's birthday party. Before we left to go to the carnival I was packing up our stuff and Tre was playing with his toys. He takes a little while to get from nap to out the door sometimes so he was being silly, singing his ABC's and playing so I thought I'd try to catch him on video singing his ABC's however not a whole alphabet was caught but some funny conversation with him. Click here to see it.
Monday, April 26th Tre slept in a little bit and then we all hung in the morning. Even though Tre slept in Jammer got him down for his nap at normal time and he ended up taking a 4 hour nap. Poor little guy was EXHAUSTED from the weekend of lack of sleep. After his nap we went down to play with the neighbor girl Selah for a little while so Tre could run around for a bit and exert some energy. He had lots of fun. It ended up being Tre, Selah, Taylor (a neighbor boy) and Skylar & Tanner (twin boys/neighbors from the building over). After that we came up for dinner but he was strangely not interested in eating his dinner. So I gave him a bath and washed his newly trimmed hair so we could see how it looks tomorrow after the washing. He took a little longer than normal to go to sleep, but that was to be expected after the long nap he had. I got a cute video of Tre singing Happy Birthday and counting in English and Spanish, click here to see it.
Tuesday, April 27th Tre and I did our morning routine at the house and then Tre went down for a nap, which he ended up taking a bit longer than expected to go down and slept for about 2 1/2 hours. After nap we went to South Buena Vista Park and met our friends Sarah & Ella. It was a nice afternoon at the park and then we went home and met Jammer at the house after he got off work. I had my monthly HOA Board Meeting so Jammer did the nighttime routine. In the morning Tre was watching his FAV Yo Gabba Gabba song, Hello World, so I was video'ing him while he was watching the video and he decided to give his baby brother in my belly some hugs and kisses. Click here to see it.
Wednesday, April 28th we had a morning play date at our friend's house and then back home for nap. Then after nap we went over to my friend Allison's house to hang out. We made the boys play dough and they played with that for a bit in addition to the much loved car playing.
Friday, April 30th Tre and I were invited to a birthday party in the morning. It was so much fun. The party had tons of toys for the kids to play with, a puppet show, games and yummy food. Tre had a blast playing with this car ramp thing practically the entire time. He loves anything that has to do with trains and cars and it can actually keep him occupied for a LONG time. It's nice to know that finally something will actually keep his attention and he won't run off ALL the time. Hehe. We came home for nap and then after nap Tre and I went to run a few errands, then back home just after Jammer got home from work.
Saturday, May 1st was a pretty mellow day. Friday afternoon I had opened up a toy that Tre had gotten for Christmas since it was a lot of pieces, I thought it'd be best to wait till he was a little bit older for him to play with it and it's a perfect time since it is a train that has a bunch of little blocks to make it a full train. It kept Tre occupied off and on throughout the day, however he has to have someone watching him or helping majority of the time which is funny. If I get up to do anything he comes and grabs my hand and brings me back to the train. Jammer worked the late shift so in the morning while he played with Tre I went to go look at a townhouse that was having an open house, just to see what kind of places are out there for us. We are in serious need of some more space and we are trying to figure out how to go about it. After Tre's nap we hung at the house for a bit and read books and played with his train, then we went to Borders since I had a coupon, to pick up a new book for Tre and picked up a pizza for dinner.
Sunday, May 2nd Jammer had the day off and we had a fun filled day. We went to the Carlsbad Street Fair in the morning. We wandered around and checked things out then we went over to Rock'n Sprouts where they had Hullabaloo playing outside their store. Some of Tre's friends from his play group were there so Tre had lots of fun running around with them. Then we came home for Tre's nap, while Tre napped, Jammer surfed. Jammer surfed with his friend who is our neighbor and they talked about getting together for dinner so we had him and his family over for a little impromptu BBQ. They have a son that is a year older than Tre, which Tre LOVED because their son can actually play ball with him. They were in the hall kicking the soccer ball back and forth to each other so Tre was STOKED, he normally can only play kick with an adult so it was fun for him to have that with a kid closer to his own age. They also had another little boy who was born about a month ago. All in all a great day!
Monday, May 3rd Jammer, Tre and I hung at the house in the morning before Jammer had to go to work. Then after Tre woke up I decided to go to Target to get some new cars for Tre. I also wanted to look for a cool car ramp of some sort for him, but couldn't find exactly what I was looking for, so we came home with some new cars and a little something he can drive them on. Tre is OBSESSED with cars and trains. Then we came home to play with the cars and eat dinner until bedtime.
Wednesday, May 5th Jammer had the day off so after we ate breakfast we decided to take Tre to Toys R Us to look at some options for car or train track or ramps or something that he could play with at the house. It's been quite the task to find something that would work for our house and for him. We ended up leaving with a little toy drum for him (something not outrageously noisy, hehe) since we couldn't decide yet on what to get him. While Tre napped, Jammer went surfing and then when Tre woke up we had a birthday party to go to for Tre's friend Mikaela. After Mikaela's birthday party we met up with a friend's family at a mexican restaurant for a little Cinco de Mayo mexican food, then home for the bedtime routine.
Thursday, May 6th Tre & I had preschool class in the morning. They did a special Mother's Day sort of celebration which was nice, a few moms brought some food for the moms and we made some cute picture frames with the kids. The teacher decided to have class outside which is the one thing I do not like about the class is when we have class outside. Which then turns out to be a not so nice day for me because I have to chase Tre around, it's not fenced in so Tre just roams the entire area. He associates outside with running around and playing, not paying attention to what's going on with the class and staying focused on class activities. So needless to say, the outside idea is not so great for me. Plus Tre LOVES "gym time" at preschool and I feel like that is half his motivation for going to class and when we do the outside thing that removes the "gym time" thing and he doesn't like that so much. He kept running back to the building saying "GYM"! We made it through class and then I got Tre down for his nap. After nap we hung at the house for a bit and then went over to my friend Jen's house to drop off some food that I had made for her and her family. Jen just had a baby about a week ago and our play group set up a meal plan for them so that a few of us moms bring them food for a few days to help since having 2 kiddos has gotta make it difficult to do everything all the time. We played over there for a bit and then came home. When Tre and I got home Jammer's Dad stopped by for a visit while he was in town so Tre got to play with him for a while.
Friday, May 7th Tre and I played cars and ate breakfast at the house in the morning. Then after nap we went over to my friend Allison's house for a play date. Tre got to play with all of Cole's new toys from his birthday. Mostly interested in the train table which he was very focused on almost the entire time having so much fun with the cars and trains. It was a very fun afternoon. Then Jammer got home from work just as we got home.
Here is a cute video of Tre saying Happy Mother's Day, click here to see it.
