Tre is 2 years old!!! It's not a huge number but omigosh, I can't believe it has been 2 years since this kid came into our lives! It is so hard to remember what my life was like before he came into this world. It changed me, my life and how I look at the world. Seeing the world through Tre's eyes is an amazing thing. I get a little teary eyed thinking about all that has happened since he was born (maybe a little prego hormones involved but mostly just a surge of happiness that I can't control).
Have I really been a Mom for 2 years now? To top it off another little munchkin is going to be making his way into this world in just a few quick weeks!

So the morning of July 9th started off with preparation for Tre's play group birthday party. We had an RSVP count of 20 Moms and their kiddos! 2 canceled the morning of (one went into labor and the other's son was sick). So 18...I was worried it would be a little too crowded but it went very well and Tre had a BLAST. He was playing with his toys, his friends and balloons. Smiling the entire time, I couldn't get him to stop for even a moment so we could sing Happy Birthday to him so we ended up skipping it. I think everyone had a good time!

Then it was time for Tre to go down for his nap which ended up being a LOONG nap, it was 3 hours and 15 minutes. The kid was TIRED! Then my sister arrived at the house so she could spend the weekend with us for Tre's birthday party. We all went to
Jazz in the Park at Stagecoach Park to continue celebrating Tre's birthday. We met some friends there and had a great time. It was fun to show my sister Ashley what Jazz in the Park was all about.
I think Tre had a fun-filled birthday...and we had lots of fun celebrating with him...

Sunday, July 11th was Tre's family/friend party. My sister, Ashley and I prepared during the morning while Jammer did some moving from the condo. We cut fruit, frosted cupcakes, cut veggies, etc. We put Tre down for a nap and got the rest of everything ready and ourselves cleaned up. The party was scheduled for 2:30pm and people started arriving sometime around then. Tre woke up right at 2:30ish and we got him ready quickly. He was in a great mood and had a lot of fun. Time flew by again and soon enough it was time for everyone to go home.

I was drained from the weekend and felt like I was losing my voice. The parties were over and it was official that my little boy was 2 years old and getting older every day. It's so funny how when they turn these milestone ages that there is a distinct growth. He is such a big boy now, speaking so much more clearly (which surprises me because he has always been good with his words), mannerisms are more mature and everything about him is growing up. I'm very proud of the little kid we are raising and can't wait for all the years to come as he grows up. He is so smart and I am floored by the things he can do at only 2 years old.
