First Ultrasound @ 7 Weeks

Another post written before announcing, but not published until after the announcement.

We had our first ultrasound today of the new little Anderson. Tre and I drove down to La Jolla and picked up Jammer from his work (since he had a morning meeting) and then we all went over to our doctor's office for our ultrasound appointment. It was at 10am and about 20 minutes after we got there they were ready to see us, so we strolled Tre into the ultrasound room and Jammer and Tre got situated where they could see. Tre wasn't sure why we had to turn out the lights and said NO as soon as they went out, so Jammer distracted him a bit. The "TV" that we were telling him to look at wasn't very exciting since of course I am only 7 weeks tomorrow so there isn't much to see but a little peanut.

We saw the heart beating and they said everything looked great, so we are happy to say so far so good! YAY...

Still not time to share with everyone though...soon enough....

18 Month Check Up

Tre had his 18 month check up today. It was a tough one since Tre woke up at 6am this morning so by 10:30am (his appt time) he was getting pretty fussy. Luckily for us he really likes to put on his smiley face for the ladies and when the nurse came in to talk to him he was being all silly and playing the shy role and when we had to lay him down to get measured he was just smiling at the nurse and being so good.

His measurements are as follows:
Height: 33 inches which is in the 68th percentile
Weight: 24.11 pounds which is in the 32nd percentile
Head: 50 cm which is in the 94th percentile (which was comforting to see that he wasn't STILL in the above 97th percentile like he had been the past few check ups)

I realized that I never mentioned his measurements from his 15 month check up so I thought I would post them here for reference of his growth:
Height: 30 1/2 inches which put him in the 57th percentile and means he grew 2 1/2 inches in 3 months
Weight: 23 pounds which put him in the 25th percentile and means he gained 1.11 pounds in 3 months
Head: 50 cm which put him in the above 97th percentile and means his head didn't grow at all over the past 3 months

Now for the rest of the appointment, well, he had to get 3 shots, he was a little bit more upset this time around than the last time. The first one made him cry, the second made him cry harder and the third he cried really hard. I think she kind of nicked him on that third one (maybe she was trying to hurry a bit much) but she made him bleed and she looked like she felt horrible that she might've pulled it out at an angle or something. I checked it before bed and there was a tiny bruise.

He was crying still even after we picked him up and cuddled him but the Mr. Polite that he can be sometimes, she said bye to him and he stopped crying for a second and said "Bye Bye" and then went back to crying. Sweet boy.

I hate these appointments and the shots! No fun! I am grateful Jammer can be there with me to help. We both had to talk to him to calm him down. He just kept hugging us both which was so sweet, but I knew that it meant he was upset and needed some love.

It was past his bedtime by the time we got home so we ran into the house from the pouring rain and Jammer took Tre into his room to read him some stories before nap.

Then of course an hour after Tre had fallen asleep the power went out AGAIN. It went out yesterday as well, which sucks because the monitor goes out and well, everything goes out so there isn't anything to do but listen closely to Tre's room in case he wakes up. Luckily it wasn't as long as yesterday (even though it happened twice today).

Due to the crazy stormy weather, Tre and I stayed in for the afternoon and just played with his toys and watched a few shows. Jammer's Dad stopped by in the early evening regarding some possible kitchen and bathroom remodel stuff we are talking to him about. Then it was bedtime for Tre and now I'm waiting for Jammer to get home from work.

I'm in between projects right now so it's nice to have a break to just relax! I need it, it's exhausting entertaining a toddler in the house all week, minus a few outings which saved us!

6 Weeks Pregnant

Another post that was written before announcing the pregnancy but not actually published until after (I'm currently at 12 weeks as this post is being posted).

We are at 6 weeks today! I am absolutely amazed at the slight growth in my belly already. When I wear a fitted shirt I can see a bump, it's small and hopefully has been overlooked by anyone as maybe a full meal or something, hehe. Even though I see a slight bump it's probably not worth taking a picture of yet, so I'll probably start at 8 weeks like I did with Tre to keep things the same. I will definitely be excited to see the comparisons of belly development between the two. In fact, it'll be interesting to see the differences and similarities between the two pregnancies among all aspects of the process.

Well, the hormones are definitely going all over the place, I can't keep myself in one mood for very long. Very happy, very tired, very sad, all still very confusing to me even after being pregnant before. Definitely very tired ALL the time. My desire to keep busy with Tre has dropped immensely this week, plus I was sick last weekend into the beginning of last week so my energy level was at ZERO. Poor Tre was going stir crazy. When Jammer worked the late shift we did try to take him to the soccer field (where I couldn't infect anyone) so Tre could run around and play and I wouldn't worry about my being sick among anyone.

Next Friday is our first ultrasound, I can't wait to see the heartbeat and get our baby's first picture!

Have a great weekend!

Tre is 18 Months Old

A year and a half old!!! 6 more months and he is going to be 2. I know it's going to be like tomorrow due to the quick nature of time. It's funny how some days I'm like, omigosh, I need this day to be over and then as too many days pass by quickly, I think, even those difficult days should slow down a bit more because I need time to stop flying! Well, my big boy is getting smarter and more active (yes, I didn't think that was possible either for him to become more active). He is a busy little man! He loves his stuffed animals and hugs them all the time, he sleeps like his daddy with a blanket covering his face or a stuffed animal (Jammer doesn't sleep with stuffed animals, just covers his face with a blanket quite often). He is getting more and more clear with his words and surprises me with an occasional short sentence. Now...prepare yourself for a LONG blog if you dare to read about it all...I hope you will! ;)

December 10th I took Tre to the soccer field after his nap for some exercise. We hung out there for a while and then I had to go to Staples to buy some double sided photo paper and cut it into 5x7 sizes for our Christmas cards that I had designed. Tre was playing with my purse while I was cutting the paper and things got from fussy to super quiet all of a sudden and at first I didn't think anything of it but then worried, hmmm, that is a bit TOO quiet that I look in his stroller and there he is eating skittles! He found a bag of skittles in my purse, ripped open the bag with his teeth and went to town! He had red all around his lips and as soon as he saw me, he shoveled the remainder of skittles in his mouth. So that was Tre's 1st experience with candy! He seemed to have a bit of a sugar rush when we got home but luckily it didn't effect his bedtime too much. Here is a video of Tre and I playing with a paper towel roll, click here to check it out.

December 11th was a rainy day so Tre and I hung out at the house. That night I had a Christmas party to go to so once Jammer got home from work I got myself ready and went over to my friend Edith's house. It was fun to hang out at her house with her friends and family.

December 12th we did some Christmas shopping at the Forum Shopping Center down the street from our house. It was crazy busy there! We spent a good amount of time in the Borders and then went to Bed Bath and Beyond.

December 13th was my cousin's son's 1st birthday party. The party started at 12pm so we were worried about Tre's nap time and how soon we would get up to Orange County which is where they live. Today was a tough day in general, Tre WOULD NOT take a nap. Finally we decided that we were done fighting him on the lack of nap and got him dressed and ready and figured he was bound to fall asleep in the car being this overtired. Thankfully he did nap for about 40 minutes in the car (which for Tre isn't enough sleep at all). He was a bit of a grump but with all that was going on he could only be upset for a second at a time. It was a fun birthday party. They had some bouncers and a ball pit. Tre gravitated to the ball pit immediately seeing that there was balls in there and he LOVES balls. We went to my cousin's house after the party to hang out until it was time to head home. It ended up working out and all in all a fun day. Surprisingly Tre didn't fall asleep in the car on the way home but was VERY tired when we got home and desperately needed to go to sleep.

December 14th we did some Christmas shopping and pretty much just hung out.

December 15th we had planned on going over to my friend Carrie's house but Tre had been coughing and had a runny nose since the day before so I didn't want Tre to possibly get her son sick so we had to cancel. Bummed on that since Tre was pretty restless by the end of the day. I decided just to get out for a few minutes I had to pick up a book from the library so I figured I would take Tre to the library in his stroller so I could pick up my book and then we ended up picking out some books for him as well. I let him out of the stroller and he immediately went to the bookshelves and started trying to pull all the books off the shelves! Not a good thing so that ended quickly and we went home.

December 16th I had a doctor's appointment in the morning so Jammer stayed at the house with Tre. After my doctor's appointment I picked up breakfast for us and brought it home. Jammer had to work the closing shift that day so he left for work and then when Tre woke up him and I went up to Orange County so my sister could do my hair. While I was getting my hair done my Mom came to the salon to watch Tre, who was quite the handful. He was all over the place! On our way home Tre ended up falling asleep since it took us FOREVER to get home due to so much traffic!! When we got home Tre wasn't sleepy anymore and was running all over the place. I still had to feed him dinner so he had a late dinner and then finally started to slow down and fell asleep around 8pm.

December 17th was Tre's play group Holiday party at Hidden Canyon Park. Not as many people attended as we thought were going to come, looks like a lot of people had gotten sick or something. But it was fun to get together. The holiday season has been a pretty mellow time as far as play dates go, which Tre is feeling the frustration of because he misses having lots of stuff to do and so do I, because my little man is a happier kid when he is out in the world being busy (wonder where he gets that from, hehe). My friend Rachel got Tre a set of Yo Gabba Gabba characters and when we got home from the park play date he wanted to watch his favorite show and hold onto his new friends, click here to check it out.

December 18th we kept it mellow in the morning and hung at the house. Then after Tre's nap we went over to our friend Sarah & Ella's house. Sarah & Ella just had their patio redone so they wanted to test it out with a couple kiddos. It was a great time. The patio looked awesome and worked out great for my little guy since he is so busy doing who knows what. He was in and out of the house too many times to count but having lots of fun doing it. Our friend's Carrie & Thomas came over as well. Just before it was time to go, Sarah had put The Wiggles on the TV for Ella and both Tre and Ella started dancing to the music. It was so funny to see them bounce up and down, click here to check it out. Fun afternoon!!!

December 19th I took Tre to see Santa at the Encinitas Library. I really wanted to try and give it another shot and since it was free, it was definitely worth a try. Ultimately Tre didn't want to sit on Santa's lap, but he didn't cry so that's good. He did grip me pretty tightly when we first walked up, but then I sat down and Tre was being his cute little self while Santa talked to him. It was so cute. Santa asked him what he wanted for Christmas and Tre did his shy face and nuzzled in my neck and smiled. Much better experience. That evening we went to hang out at our neighbor's house since he finished his MBA with a final presentation so he wanted to do a little celebrating. Great job Will! Congrats!

December 20th I had plans to do some Christmas shopping but plans sort of changed. To recap and explain, Jammer has been looking for a new surfboard since before Father's Day (he was supposed to get one then, but just couldn't find the right one). So last night when we were at our neighbor's house there was surfboard talk (of course) and Jammer got really motivated to move forward on something. He had found a couple boards that he was interested in on Craigslist and finally made a decision so as his gift for Christmas I drove down to Ocean Beach to pick it up. I planned to trick him and tell him the board was already sold so he won't suspect that he is actually getting. Gotta have some element of surprise! So Tre and I went to OB, got the surfboard and then stopped by my friend Ashley's house to visit with her and so Tre could play with her son Connor. It was nice to see them since it had been a little while since we got together. Now for the difficult part, Jammer got off work before I got home, SO, luckily my friend/neighbor Rachel was home and I was able to meet her husband at the parking lot across the street from our house (her husband surfs so it wouldn't look weird if he came home with a surfboard in his truck). So I drove home like normal and pulled into the garage and guess who comes walking down the stairs, yep, Jammer (he didn't believe me when I told him the board was sold already and that I didn't get it, so he was snooping). Good thing we thought ahead and did the exchange away from the house! I could see his eyes darting around the garage as he was pretending to pay attention to Tre and I. So Rachel's husband put Jammer's surfboard in their garage and I can get it from them when we come home after Christmas! Phew...it's tough to do surprises!! To top off the evening, we went to San Marcos to this house on Knob Hill that decks out their house with Christmas lights and has Santa come at 6:30pm all nights but Wednesday during the holidays. I took a little video of Tre checking out the lights and also a scan of the house, so click here to check it out.

December 21st we are running out of days to shop before Christmas and I have a few more people to shop for...normally I am pretty much done by now but we have had a hard time figuring out what to get a few family members and it is SUPER difficult to shop and check things out with Tre in tow because he WANTS EVERYTHING. So since Jammer didn't have to work until 2pm (he worked until 10:30pm), we decided to go shopping in the morning so that one of us could look at the things we need and the other could keep Tre, it helped a bunch to have the teamwork. We had to get one of Tre's main presents and it is like torture for him to go through those toy aisles and not get to touch/play with what he sees. After Tre's nap my friend Candice came by to visit since I hadn't seen her since Tre's birthday party which was over 5 months ago. So it was nice to visit with her, she was quite surprised at how much Tre had grown and all he can do. It was fun to watch his interaction with her. He was doing a little showing off. Hehe.

December 22nd I had planned a soccer play date with our play group in the morning but the weather wasn't so great for an outdoor play date so I had to reschedule for the next day. Tre and I ended up doing some Christmas shopping and then he started to get tired so it was time for a nap. After nap we had planned on going to Legoland, but of course the weather again, it wasn't the greatest day for an outdoor event. I didn't want Tre to get sick. Luckily, my friend Sarah had invited us over to their house for a little play date as well as our friend Selena and her daughter Madi. This was Selena & Madi's last full day in San Diego (they are moving to Iowa). However, Selena ended up having so much going on she wasn't able to make it. So sad they are leaving!

December 23rd we went to the soccer field for Tre's soccer play date with his play group. It was fun, actually 3 of the boys that came kicked the ball around, then one little girl showed up as well and she was doing a little kicking as well. I'm hoping as the kids get older a little more soccer action will take place. Jammer didn't work till 2pm, so he was able to come to the field with us and play with Tre, who was ALL over the field kicking the ball. After nap Tre and I took a picture with Jammer's new surfboard so I could print it and wrap it to surprise Jammer with his new surfboard without having to actually bring the board up to Orange County. After that I took Tre to Legoland. It was a lot of fun! I had 2 free passes that expired on Christmas (technically the day before since they are closed on Christmas) and after putting it off I only ended up getting to use one of the free passes as no one could come with me. I wish I would've gone twice instead of waiting and trying to see if someone could come with me. Oh well, my loss! But Tre had a great time! We went on a train ride twice and a boat ride as well as ran around the kids play area and cruised around checking every aspect of the amusement park. I took a couple videos of Tre: 1st video is of Tre on the train ride and 2nd video is of Tre dancing to the music in the water works area.

December 24th and December 25th were posted up in their own post since it was Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, click here to read all about it. I did however forget to load these videos in the Christmas post, it's a video of Noa playing with my sister Jennifer's dog Chloe and my Mom's dog Holly, it's pretty funny, click here to check it out. Then a video of Tre after he opened up his Christmas gift from his Uncle John, his own guitar, click here to check it out. Last one is of Tre dancing in the backyard at Jammer's brother Justin's house, click here to check it out.

December 26th I was pretty tired from all the fun we had for Christmas, so Tre and I managed to hang in the morning with a little less activity than normal (thank goodness) and then after nap we met Jammer's Mom, sister and brother at a Mexican place in Leucadia for lunch. After lunch we ended up hanging for a bit while Tre played with his Uncle John's skateboard. After that I took Tre home since Jammer had gotten home from work so he could hang with him while I ran a quick errand to Michaels to pick up some things for my cake pops that I made. Jammer took Tre to the park in Leucadia that has a little skate area. That's where his brother John was skating while his sister and Mom got pedicures. Then I got home before the boys did and got started on finishing my cake pops for an annual Christmas party at my friend Jolene's house. It was a fun night of chatting with people I don't get to see much (some of them it was at last year's party I saw them last). We did a white elephant gift exchange. Unfortunately, I came home with a bottle of Bailey's which isn't the most ideal gift for me as I do not drink much and definitely don't drink Bailey's. Oh well!

December 27th Tre took a pretty good nap which of course as I am pacing around waiting for him to get up (why doesn't he sleep well on days we have nothing going on?). Jammer's Mom, sister and brother were waiting for Tre and I at Jammer's work in La Jolla so we all could go to lunch. We finally got down there and we all went to lunch at the Rubio's next to Jammer's store. Then after hanging out there for a bit Tre and I went up to Oceanside to the Walmart to look at my potential belated Christmas present....a new camera! Unfortunately, they didn't have one on display and the one they were selling was much more expensive in the store than on the website so a wasted trip. That night I went online to purchase my new camera and had it shipped next day so I could get it before my junior high reunion I am going to this weekend! Woo-Hoo! I took a cute video of Tre playing with his Leap Frog Fridge Phonics game, click here to see it.

December 28th my friend Tiff stopped by so we could exchange our Christmas gifts, then when Tre woke up he and I went to Daphne's Greek Cafe for lunch after his nap. He was so good the entire time we were there. Eating his lunch and just hanging in his stroller. It's nice when that happens! Then we went to the grocery store and picked up some things but of course I forgot something, bananas for Tre's smoothies. Gosh I think I forget something every time I go to the store without a list, trying to remember what's on the list at home is quite the task for me, I feel like an idiot sometimes! We got back to the house and played with a few of Tre's new toys (we've been slowly opening gifts out of their boxes for Tre so he gets a new toy every so often and enjoys them more than just handing all of them over to him all at once. Another big thing that happened today was the main organizer for our play group stepped down as the main organizer and asked me to step in, so I am now the main organizer for Tre and I's play group. I love this play group and was more than happy to help my friend Carrie out, she worked so hard over the past year and a half to keep her group going and I hope that I can continue the greatness she has created!

December 29th Jammer had a day off!! YAY! Other than Christmas which was a busy day, the last time Jammer had a day off was December 6th! Poor guy has been working hard!! It was nice to have a relaxing day off where we didn't have any traveling to do (since even on the 6th we traveled up to OC for my niece's 16th bday dinner). We took Tre to a park called Leo Mullen Park where our play group was scheduled to meet. It was fun, then after Tre's nap we got ourselves ready to stop in at Costco for some groceries and then met Jammer's Dad at Cottonwood Park, I took this cute video of Tre playing soccer with Jammer and Jammer's Dad, click here to see it. I got my new camera on this day. As we were packing up I was waiting and waiting all day for it to arrive and then just as we were leaving the camera showed up!! Woo-Hoo!

December 30th Jammer and I took Tre to the soccer field for a little exercise and then after his nap my friend Lisa came down with her friends' two daughters, Lola (2 yrs old) and Aubrey (8 months). My friend Carrie came over with her son Thomas and saved me with some computer issues I was having. While the kids played she let me use her mac to edit a video I needed to finish for my 8th grade reunion. It was funny to watch the kids all playing in the house. Lola was calling Tre "baby" and trying to pick him up and Tre was not having it at all and would get very upset when she would try to pick him up. Mostly because he was practically the same size as her so she couldn't really hold him and they would fall. Tre did not like falling. Lola was very cute with Tre though, giving him hugs and patting his head. It was entertaining!

December 31st and January 1st are in their own post, so you can click here to see the December 31st post or click here to see the January 1st post. However, I missed the posting of a video we took of Tre saying "Happy New Year" before he went to bed on December 31st, click here to see it.

January 2nd was my big 8th grade reunion that I had been planning for months, this deserves it's own post as well so if you haven't read it yet, click here to check it out.

January 3rd we went up to LA for Jammer's sister Malia's 21st birthday. After Tre's nap we got packed up and left my parents. We drove to Jammer's parent's house to meet everyone and then went to this Teppan restaurant in La Canada. Yummy!!! It was a fun night! Drove home that night. Jammer took a video of when they let Malia hit the gong and then they sang Happy Birthday to her in Japanese, click here to see it.

January 4th Jammer had the day off. I had a doctor's appointment in the morning so he hung with Tre at the house while I did that. Then Tre went down for his nap and when he woke up we went to El Torito and then to Costco. I was supposed to pick up a prescription but they were having issues with the cost so I had to leave and come back the next day. After the birthday celebration the day before Tre was very intrigued with singing "Happy Birthday to You" so Jammer tried to get Tre on video singing, click here to see it.

January 5th Jammer worked the late shift so we took Tre to Quail Botanical Gardens now known as San Diego Botanic Gardens in the morning. Tre slept late today, he didn't wake up until 8:20am!! After his nap I took Tre to Aviara park for a play date. We hung there for almost 2 hours and then I had to pick up a prescription (which has turned into a huge ordeal, still didn't get it). Then home to get Tre ready for bed (after eating a small dinner).

January 6th we kept it mellow. Jammer worked the early shift so Tre and I hung out at the house in the morning and then after nap we ran some errands. Then Jammer got home from work to help with the evening responsibilities.

January 7th we had a play date at La Costa Canyon Park so Tre and I went over there at 9am and stayed until about 10:45ish. It was a great turnout so it was a lot of fun to see so many of our friends. After Tre's nap we met my friend Rachel and her daughters Ava & Olivia at Aviara for a little play time. Then we got home and shortly after Jammer got home from work.

January 8th we had a play date at Hidden Canyon Park. We got there about 10 mins after 9am. It was another great turnout. Lots of fun, BEAUTIFUL weather, so warm I was roasting in my long sleeve shirt, even though Tre woke up almost an hour earlier than he normally does, he didn't seem as tired as I thought he would be so we hung for an hour and a half, then he started to rub his eyes, when I put him in his stroller and he didn't fight it, I knew he was ready to go home so we made our way to the car and then home. Jammer had a meeting in the morning and then he was home when we got home from the park, then he had to go back to work and be there by 1pm...sucks! So Tre only got a short time with his Daddy today. After Tre's nap we just hung out at the house and played with his toys and stuff until dinner time and then to bed. That night before bedtime Tre was playing with his Thomas whistle and started actually making a sound, he's come a long way from trying to blow on it with his nose, click here to see him whistle.

January 9th...Tre's 18 month birthday...sad to say we didn't have anything super exciting planned. Jammer had to work until 4:30pm so Tre and I opened up one of his xmas presents (we put some away since he didn't need ALL his toys at once, so now a new toy pops out every so often). It was his helicopter, truck & tank that he got from Santa. He was having lots of fun playing with them. Then after Tre's nap we ran some errands until Jammer got off work. Our friend Stu came over to hang so Tre had a blast saying "STU" a million times. Before bedtime Jammer wanted to show Tre his remote control helicopter from a long while back that Tre did not like last time (to refresh your memory on this video, click here), Tre wasn't as excited as Jammer had hoped, but he wasn't as scared, click here to see the video.

Oh and I took Tre's monthly pic in his jammies this time because I set up the setting and he just sat down so I decided to take it while he was willing, moments later after this pic was taken he would not sit down for a second so glad I took it when I did. :)

Now to view the collection of pictures of Tre from December 10, 2009 to January 9, 2010: http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=177267&id=541262742&l=643a7df497

5 Weeks Pregnant

Posted after announcing our pregnancy to family, but written before the announcing. :)

We have been trying for a few months now and over the past couple months with the help of the doctor that helped us get pregnant with Tre, we found out we are pregnant. On Monday, January 4th I took a pregnancy test and got a slight positive, I say slight because the second line was SO light that I wondered if it could've been inaccurate. So I called my doctor and told him the scoop (well told his nurse who told him, hehe). The nurse told me to come in that morning for a blood test to check my levels and see if I was in fact pregnant.

That afternoon while Jammer, Tre and I were leaving Costco I got the phone call. My doctor said that my levels are where they should be for a pregnancy but since it was pretty early he wanted to know if I wanted to get another blood test the following week to make sure the levels were still going up. I was a little thrown off by the conversation we were having since it wasn't one of those typical, Congratulations, you are having a baby, type things. So I asked if I needed a 2nd blood test to see if I was in fact pregnant and he said, no, not necessarily, you are pregnant according to this test but some women like to get a second test just to make sure they continue in the pregnancy, which makes sense I guess since on Monday, January 4th I was only 4 weeks and 2 days pregnant. However, since our doctor's office is in La Jolla I decided to not request an additional blood test, but instead I will take a couple more pregnancy tests and see how those turn out, if the line gets darker I think I will feel better about everything that way and can confirm by ultrasound. Which brings me to my next step, he asked me to call the office the following day to schedule my first ultrasound to check the baby's heartbeat. So Friday, January 22, 2010 will be the date of our very first ultrasound.

As I am typing this and thinking about all this stuff it all seems so surreal, even though I have done this before, it is still just as exciting and nerve-racking as the first time. Hehe.

I tried to surprise Jammer a little bit in telling him and make it a bit more exciting (even though he knew that I could possibly be pregnant, I didn't tell him when I was going to take a test). I placed the test in his bathroom (he was asleep still while I took the test and then I got Tre up for the morning, so I knew he had to head into the bathroom as soon as he woke up). I put a note underneath the test that said, "Guess what this could mean?" Then I waited patiently for him to get up and I had the camera right next to the bathroom so I could grab it and capture his face expression. It was a funny one! He looked confused. I think because the test was so light he was like, is this yes or no. Also, I had been doing ovulation tests throughout the process and one time I forgot to throw one away right away and he went into the bathroom and was like, what is this? I had forgotten about that until after we had talked about his funny face expression. Ultimately, he hugged me and was like, Wow!

To help me confirm the pregnancy I decided to take another test today, this day it would be 5 weeks and when I found out I was pregnant with Tre it was right at 5 weeks as well, the test was much more convincing that time around so I needed some reassurance and thought I would pick the exact time frame as last time to confirm. Hehe. So I took the test as soon as I woke up and YEP, it was VERY convincing, the lines both showed up very quickly, just like last time. It comforted me to see that because I knew that things were going in the right direction. This time I just showed Jammer the test when he came into the bathroom since I had already attempted the surprise thing, he wouldn't let me take a picture of him this time (well he didn't let me last time but I just did it, this time he covered his face). Ha. But he was much happier to see the results and didn't have a confused look this time.

Funny part about this pregnancy is already I feel super tired and hungry and I have a little tiny belly sticking out. Thank goodness it's winter and I can wear layers. Even though the weather has actually been BEAUTIFUL lately. Actually somewhat warm and very sunny out. Amazing for January.

Travis Ranch Class of '92 Reunion

For months I have been planning a reunion for my 8th grade class. I loved my 8th grade year and had such a great group of classmates that I was super excited to put this together. 2010 makes 18 years since we graduated from Travis Ranch, for the classmates that moved away after 8th grade it had been that long since I had seen them, for others it had been either since high school or our 10 year high school reunion that took place in 2006. I planned this reunion for Saturday, January 2, 2010 in hopes that I could catch some of the classmates that were in town for the holidays.

I made reunion books for everyone that attended which included a recent pic, an 8th grade pic and a bio about each person. The books turned out great, I was very happy with them! I also made a DVD which was a collection of pictures from people as well as pieces of our Videovation Video Yearbook.

I arrived at the venue 15 minutes or so before everyone else was told to be there. I brought my sister, Ashley along to help me keep things flowing since I am one person and knew that I would need more than 2 hands. Plus she remembered a bunch of people from my class and I think it was entertaining for her to see people as well. People slowly trickled in and I handed out wrist bands for the area we had reserved as well as their name tags and reunion books.

About an hour and 45 minutes after the event was set to begin I played the DVD that I had made for everyone. It was pretty funny to watch people's reactions to some of the old pics and video. Totally worth it. I took a bunch of pictures of the night and created an album so everyone could see the pics.

I had an awesome time, I had a grin the entire night from ear to ear (well until the end when my energy had died and I was SO ready for bed). It's hard for me to stay up past midnight. Hehe. I have heard nothing but great remarks from the people that attended so it makes me so happy that I was able to pull this off and get all of these people together. So many people enjoyed it that they requested we do it again. And some of the people that wanted to come to this event but couldn't are really pushing for another one as well so they can hopefully make that one. I think it is my duty to oblige. Hehe...plus it was so dang fun, why not?

New Year's Day

Happy New Year everyone! 2010 is here!! Wow, how crazy, 2010! We are now in the 2nd decade of the 2000's. What do we call the last decade? 00's? 2000's? Hmm...I don't know.

Well today was a pretty mellow day but most importantly we spent the day as a family. Jammer had the day off which was very nice considering all the holidays he works, it was quite a surprise. We woke up and just hung out at the house. While Tre napped Jammer went surfing. Tre took a little bit shorter nap than normal so we waited for Jammer to get home from surfing to go get some lunch. He was home about 25 minutes after Tre woke up.

My friend Carrie who has been super helpful with my DVD making drama came by on her way out with her family for the afternoon with her laptop. We were hoping to just burn what I had edited on a trial program that I had downloaded. Unfortunately, the file was not compatible with her computer, dangit! We tried to simply burn a DVD directly from my computer but that didn't work either. At that point I didn't want to waste anymore of her time and her hubby and son were waiting in the car so we decided to get on with our days and I was going to try and figure it out somehow, maybe find another program that will work. If I couldn't get it resolved she told me I could come over this evening to work on the original file that I had started the other day on her computer.

After Carrie left we left as well and went over to The Forum to grab some lunch at this new sandwich place called Which Wich. It was a cute little setup where they have these paper bags and you fill out info on the bag according to category with what you want on your sandwich. Hard to explain, if you are local you should go check it out. They had some kid sandwiches too so we got Tre a Cheese Pizzawich. He loved it and ate almost the entire thing. After lunch we cruised around the shopping center, unfortunately a lot of the stores were closed so we did a lot of window looking and then stopped in at Borders to buy Tre some new books. A few $3 books of his fav characters (Yo Gabba Gabba, Mickey Mouse & Wow Wow Wubzy). Then we came home for dinner and bedtime for Tre.

As Jammer was helping with Tre and his dinner I was trying to figure out my DVD burning issues and I am happy to report that I resolved the issue!! It is an amazing feeling when after days and days of hassle you figure out what you were trying to do. YAY! So as soon as I figured that whole thing out a big weight was lifted off my shoulders.

After putting Tre down to bed we just hung out and I did a few last minute things I needed to do for my 8th grade reunion tomorrow.

Hope everyone had a great 1st day of 2010!!!
