4th Ultrasound

I had an anatomy scan ultrasound so they could check out all the parts of our little guy and tell us what we are having (but in our situation just confirm what we were having). It is confirmed that we are having a boy!

Jammer was unable to attend this ultrasound since the appointment was during Tre's nap time so he needed to stay home with Tre. The ultrasound portion took about 20 minutes or so and then I had to sit and wait FOREVER. A little craziness took place as well, I was a few minutes late so I ended up parking in the 20 minute parking area and after my ultrasound ran down to re-park my car down the street (I hate paying for parking at their structure so I usually park around the corner). So I parked the car and ran back to avoid missing the next part of my appointment. Come to find out the running was a ridiculous waste and I exhausted myself for NO reason because they LAGGED on getting me in to see my doctor. Don't know why but she was totally behind on her appointments and it took me 2 hours to get in and out of that office. Frustrating part is that the actual time talking to my doctor probably was about 10 minutes, it was ALL wait time. UGH, so annoying, they will cancel your appointment if you are 10 minutes late, but the doctor's can be as late as they want seeing you.

The other bummer was the pictures that the sonographer gave me kind of sucked. I was like, I know there were better pictures, but it seemed she gave me the crappiest ones of all the ones she took and gave my doctor all the good ones. I know she needs to see the pics to make sure everything looks good, but c'mon, at least give me 1 good one. So there are 4 I have included in this post but they aren't that great.

As for review of the ultrasound, my doctor says everything looks good. Our baby is in the 58th or something percentile in his growth so that's good.

I actually gained some weight this time, each appointment I've only been gaining a pound each time, but this time I gained 5 pounds. I'm at 116, which is probably 10 pounds less than I was last time, but that's just because I was 10 pounds lighter when I got pregnant this time. We'll see how the weight gain goes from this point on as now I just continue to grow.

All the uncomfortable ligament/muscle pain I was having for the past 2 weeks has finally subsided, hopefully for good, but I doubt it. I'm just happy to be feeling good right now and feeling my little boy move a bunch is comforting to know he is growing, moving and healthy.

Tre is 21 Months Old

We are quickly approaching age 2! Tre has become more energetic (if that's possible) and loves to have fun. He is so much fun (and tiring all at the same time). His verbal skills are growing by leaps and bounds. I never expected it to be so vast a vocabulary, but it keeps growing by the minutes. He can say so many words I can't even begin to explain. He pretty much copies everything we say to him and some things he hears out in the world. Makes me think, you should always watch your language in public because you never know what little ears are listening. Hehe. He has started to like the word NO a bit more and enjoys having his breakfast like a big boy (sitting in a chair rather than his high chair).

Wednesday, March 10th we hung at the house with Jammer in the morning, Jammer went work while Tre was sleeping and then after nap Tre and I went to our friend's house for a little play date. It was lots of fun and Tre loves playing with his friends.

Thursday, March 11th Tre had his first day of "preschool", I posted a separate blog post for it so if you didn't read it yet or see the videos, you can see the post here.

Friday, March 12th Jammer and I took Tre to the puppet show across the street. It was nice to have Jammer there because Tre loves to run around and I was able to hold our place in line while he ran around with Tre. Much easier! This puppet show was Billy Goats Gruff which some of the kids weren't so happy about, the troll's voice was a little loud, but Tre just sat and watched. That afternoon after Tre's nap we went over to our friends house to play. Lots of fun!

Saturday, March 13th Tre and I hung at the house. My friend Lisa was in town picking up some of her Tessa May postcards from the printer. After she got done down there she came over to our house to visit with us.

Sunday, March 14th Jammer had the day off and due to the time change, Tre had woken up at 8:30 (7:30 before time change). So we decided to seize the opportunity to take him down to Balboa Park since he'd be taking his nap much later than normal and went to the Model Railroad Museum down there. Tre LOVES trains so we thought it'd be fun for him to see a bunch of trains. It was a beautiful day and I've never really done the Balboa Park thing, it was cool. I was happy we got there early because when we left it was much busier. Tre liked the trains, but it was a little difficult for him to fully enjoy it because the trains are propped up and so he could see them we had to hold him up to look. If the trains weren't fast enough he would get impatient, hehe. But when it was time to go he was not happy about that so we knew he really liked it. After nap we decided to hang at the house for a bit and then go to dinner at Shogun. It was YUMMY! Then after dinner we had enough time to go to the grocery store and then home to get Tre ready for bed.

Monday, March 15th we took Tre to the Hullabaloo concert at the Encinitas Community Center. This is the 2nd time I have taken him as a toddler that walks around and it doesn't seem like he is enjoying it yet. He sits with us and sort of watches (I think just taking it all in), but then he decided that he wanted to run around and tried to take off out the door, so I think we'll wait a while before taking him back. After the show we took him to Moonlight Beach Park where of course as soon as he realized the ocean was there, he wanted to go straight for it. It was a beautiful day but we didn't have a change of clothes for him so we decided to head home as it was getting close to time for Jammer to get ready for work. Tre took a short nap and we hung at the house, had lunch and that was pretty much it. I took this video of Tre and I playing soccer in the hallway, he loves to kick the ball up and down the hallway, click here to check it out.

Tuesday, March 16th I took Tre to the Escondido Children's Museum that morning. He had SO much fun and I really enjoyed the place. It was our first time checking it out and had so much fun little things for Tre to do. He was running around having a blast. Then I brought him home for his nap and after nap we hung at the house until Jammer got home from work. We had our taxes appointment that night so we had to get Tre down for bed and then my neighbor Rachel watched the monitor for us so we could go have our fun appointment. Hehe. We almost thought we were going to have to drive separately because Tre wasn't quite ready for bed so as I was getting ready to leave and Jammer ended up coming out of Tre's room in time to come with me.

Wednesday, March 17th I took Tre to a local fire station up the street from our house. My play group had planned a morning meet up there. The kids looked like they had lots of fun, Tre was running around a lot and every once in a while something would catch his attention, like the fire hose, the steering wheel, the ambulance, etc. But all in all it was a fun visit. After that we went to the beach to meet Jammer who was at Grandview surfing, however, after hanging there for about an hour we ended up leaving. Jammer said he didn't see us, we were actually running around on the beach and I guess he was looking for us on the stairs. Oh well. As we were waiting for Jammer to get home from surfing Tre had a little incident where he was climbing on a chair and before I could get to him to get off he slipped and fell off, bumped his head and actually ended up cutting it. I didn't realize the cut until the back of his head started looking really red. Luckily he was okay, just nicked it and after giving him some Motrin and Daddy coming home, he was all better. He is such a tough kid! After Tre's nap we met some people from our play group at Aviara for a little St Patty's Day park play date. The kids ran around and had fun.

Thursday, March 18th Jammer and I took Tre to preschool class. It was cool for Jammer to be there because he was able to take pictures of everything for me. It's always nice when I am not the photographer all the time to get in some pictures. After preschool class we went down to the park next to where Tre's class is and played for a bit, then went and got smoothies on our way home. After nap we hung out.

Friday, March 19th I took Tre to the puppet show at the library across the street. This one was a little bit different than the others are. They had a ventriloquist puppeteer do a special St Patty's Day puppet show. Tre wasn't quite as interested in it as he is the actual puppet shows because the woman did a lot of the acting for the show and had her puppets and secondary parts, I think he was expecting the traditional puppet show so I had to take him to the back of the room to let him sort of wander a bit and every once in a while something would catch his attention. When the show was over we went to the Children's Garden, then home for nap. After nap we hung at the house until Jammer got home from work.

Saturday, March 20th Jammer had the day off so we could head up to OC that afternoon, get our hair done and be at my parent's for our gender determination appointment the following morning. We hung at the house in the morning and then Jammer surfed while Tre napped. After Tre's nap we got Tre ready to go and headed up to OC. There was a bit of traffic so it took us longer than we would've liked, but finally got there. Tre was quite the task to put down for bed that night. Jammer initially tried but after a little while Tre was still screaming at the top of his lungs. He has had a harder time adjusting to new places when it comes time to sleep. I went into the room and talked to Tre for a bit and then ended up rocking him for 15 minutes which was killing my stomach but he was so happy laying on my shoulder and I was singing to him that I couldn't just stop. Finally I was able to lay him down and sing to him while he laid down. He would pop up every so often to check to make sure I was still there and eventually fell asleep. We were going to try and let him cry it out, but his screams were more scared than just fighting it so I figured it would time well spent to ease his nerves.

Sunday, March 21st we woke up and got ready to go to the ultrasound appointment which was scheduled for 9am. My sister Ashley came with us, my parents followed us there and my sister Jill and her fiance Damon met us there. I was so excited that they were able to share in the excitement with us, it meant the world to us that they were able to make it. For those that hadn't heard yet, the results of the gender determination ultrasound can be found here. After the appointment was over we went to Polly's in Yorba Linda for breakfast and then back to the house to get Tre ready for nap. While Tre was napping my Mom, sisters Jill & Ashley and I went to David's Bridal so my sister Jill could try on wedding dresses. So exciting! I was so happy to be able to be a part of this experience. She looked BEAUTIFUL in every dress she tried on. After that we went back to my parent's house (my niece and nephew were there since my sister, bro-in-law, and 2 other nieces had to be in Vegas this weekend for a soccer event), hung out, ate dinner and then got packed up and on our way back home.

Monday, March 22nd Tre slept a little longer in the morning because of the lack of sleep he had from the day before (not a good nap & not a good night's sleep) so he needed to catch up. Then we hung at the house and put him down for nap before Jammer had to leave for work. When Tre woke up from his nap I got him ready to go grab some food and then stop at the grocery store. After that we came home for our nighttime routine.

Tuesday, March 23rd Jammer had the day off. We took Tre to Aviara park in the morning. I went to look at a potential soccer class for Tre that they have there while Jammer played with Tre at the soccer field. Unfortunately, the times I was given were wrong for Tre's age group, so I was only able to watch their 2 1/2 to 5 1/2 year old class. After Tre's nap we went to Costco (starting to become our regular thing on Jammer's day off, hehe) and then when we got home we went down to our neighbors house and Tre played with their son Liam for a little bit until it was time for us to get home because I had my board meeting for our HOA and Tre needed to get ready for bed.

Wednesday, March 24th we were supposed to go to an Easter play date but unfortunately the hostess had to cancel due to work related stuff. But luckily one of the Moms that was going to attend the play date decided to offer her home as an alternate option so after Tre's nap we went over to her house for a fun play date.

Thursday, March 25th was a busy morning. Tre and I had his mommy & me preschool class where they did an Easter Egg Hunt for all the kids and then straight from there we went to La Jolla to visit my friend/jeweler Lawrence. My engagement ring (which was made elsewhere) broke at the base of the band and I needed Lawrence to take a look at it and fix it for me. We got back to the house for Tre's nap and then after Tre's nap we hung at the house until Jammer got home from work. My friend Lisa was going to come to our house that night to watch the monitor so Jammer and I could go to the movies. So Jammer got Tre down for bed and then we got ready to go across the street to go to the movies to see Alice in Wonderland in 3D. It was nice to get out for a movie together.

Friday, March 26th we hung out in the morning at the house. And then after nap we went over to my friend Allison's house so Tre and Cole could play.

Saturday, March 27th I took Tre to the Carlsbad Flower Fields for Kid's Day in the morning. It was fun for him to run around. It was a warm day so it was nice to be outside. Just before it was time to go Tre got to play soccer with these dogs that play soccer. The company was called Soccer Collies. Tre had so much fun but it was getting close to nap time and he started to get upset easily if the ball didn't come to him quick enough so it was time to go. After nap we hung at the house and played ball in the hallway (where he LOVES to kick the ball back and forth). Then Jammer got home from work to have a little time with Tre before bed.

Sunday, March 28th I took Tre to Rock'n Sprouts for their model search photo shoot. We hung out there for quite a while. Tre played with their cars & trains table and then we got his picture taken and visited with some friends, then back home because I had a baby shower to get ready for. Jammer went surfing while Tre and I went to Rock'n Sprouts so he could stay home with Tre while I was at the baby shower. It was my friend Lori's baby shower and was a cute shower at that, it was great to see all of our friends and get some girl time in. I got back from the shower and Jammer had taken Tre to the pool with some of our neighbors. Then we got ready to meet our friends/neighbors at La Costa Grill for happy hour. Fun day!

Monday, March 29th we hung at the house in the morning and then after nap (a good 3 hour nap) we went to Sunset Park in San Marcos. Such a bummer though, we had hoped that the spray grounds would be working when we went there but they weren't. So Tre wandered around the large area, mostly interested in a father/son playing basketball at the courts and watching a kid skateboard.

Tuesday, March 30th we had a baby shower/play date in the morning. We were a little late because Tre slept till 9am. He had woken up a few times throughout the night so I think he needed to catch up on his sleep. Teething was what we suspected since he is getting his 2 year molars. We get to the party and there is a lot going on. Tre started to act a little weird and a bit whiney. His actions were totally out of the norm, especially when he went to the door and asked to leave. He never asks to leave a play date, I'm usually having to tell him it's time to go. I bring him home and put him in his jammies and we hung at the house until it was time for nap. After nap he seemed to be okay but then after drinking his smoothie he threw up. Poor little guy, we ended up staying home and relaxed. That night I had a Mom's Night Out planned with some of the Moms from my play group, we went to Shogun. It was a fun night out.

Wednesday, March 31st Jammer worked the late shift so we all just hung at the house in the morn, our little dude was not feeling so great so he just wanted to chill. He woke up late since he had woken up 4 times throughout the night dry heaving. Then 3 hours after he woke up he was ready for bed again, even requesting to go take a nap. He took a good nap and then we hung at the house so our little man could rest. He made it through the rest of the day without getting sick but then about 2 hours after he fell asleep he had thrown up in his bed and then again sometime in the early hours.

Thursday, April 1st was a good day for Tre as far as no throwing up. I decided to keep him home from Mommy & Me preschool class just in case. I had a doctor's appointment at 2:30pm and Jammer had an interview at 1pm (within Verizon) so we were pressed for time on who would be here to watch Tre. I needed to leave by 2pm and as it quickly approached and Jammer wasn't home yet so I ended up calling my neighbor to watch the monitor while Tre slept and Jammer got home about 15 minutes after I left to take over responsibility. Tre slept for 3 hours. I got home and we went to get some pizza down the street, then back to the house. Tre had little bites of bread from the pizza and some cheerios (which has been a staple in his diet these past couple days, cheerios, not the pizza). We got all the way to bed and then he started to fuss a bit when I laid him down, so I don't know if the fuss got his tummy all worked up or what, but he threw up in his bed, just a little bit, but still. He did end up waking up around 3am until 4:30ish and crying and just wanting me to be close, I held him for a bit and then laid him down and rubbed his back, then as he started to get sleepy again I ended up sleeping on the floor next to his crib for a bit to shush him each time he would cry for me. Long night, but no throw up. YAY!

Friday, April 2nd was our play groups Annual Easter Egg hunt that I had coordinated. What a GREAT turnout it was!! So many people from our group showed up, it was so much fun. Tre even started to grasp the concept about picking up the eggs and keeping them, mostly handing them to me and I would put them in his bag. Lots of fun though and it was a beautiful morning! Tre then went down for nap and took a long 3 hour nap. Wow, 3 days in a row! After nap we had to take my car to the dealership to get some things fixed. Then on the way home we stopped at Jammer's new store (he just got transferred to Del Mar from La Jolla, today being his first day). From there Jammer drove with Tre and I drove Jammer's car so Daddy & Tre could have some boy time. We got home, did the nighttime routine and called it a day. Here is a video of the Easter Egg Hunt, click here to see it.

Saturday, April 3rd I decided to do a separate post for this to show come comparison pics and stuff. To see this post you can go here.

Sunday, April 4th was Easter, click here if you missed the post when I posted it.

Monday, April 5th was a rainy/gloomy day. Which was probably a good thing considering the LONG day Tre had yesterday. In the morning my friend Nicole came by to visit with us. She was visiting from Oregon, so it was so great to see her!!! Then after Tre's LONG nap we ended up just hanging at the house until Jammer got home from work.

Tuesday, April 6th we took Tre to the Botanic Gardens in the morning. We decided to stick to the side of the gardens with the train and that kept Tre happy the entire time we were there, which was great for us because we weren't having to chase him around the whole place. Think I found my new favorite location to take him when we go there. After nap Tre and I had to go down to the dealership and pick up my car. So after leaving the dealership I decided to pick up In & Out and bring dinner to Jammer since he was working the late shift. Tre was SO excited to see his Daddy, he practically screamed Daddy when he saw Jammer come out of the store.

Wednesday, April 7th Tre and I hung at the house, we played some games in the house and stuff before nap and then Tre took a good nap and we waited for Jammer to get home from work. Then we all walked over to El Caribe Mexican place across the street for dinner and then to the grocery store.

Thursday, April 8th we had Tre's preschool class in the morning. I had a bad case of morning sickness which has yet to officially go away, most often it occurs at night but if I wait too long to eat and didn't get enough sleep then it sometimes hits me in the morning as well. Went to bed late due to some work I had to get done and then had a restless night's sleep. Anyways, after coming back to life after the morning yuckiness we went to preschool class, then back to the house before nap time. Since Tre woke up an hour earlier than he normally has been waking up I had hoped he would go to bed a little earlier than normal but he went down for nap at normal time however did take a good 3 hour nap. YAY! After nap we went over to my friend Allison's house so our boys could play. It was nice to have a back yard to play in so I didn't have to chase Tre around, I still wasn't feeling 100% so this was a nice way to get Tre out but not too exhausting for me. The bigger this belly gets the more I wish I had a yard for Tre to play in! When we got home Jammer had gotten home from work so he met us at the garage and we ended up hanging out front of our house so Tre could play with the neighbor girl, Selah who Tre adores playing with whenever he sees her he gets so excited and yells her name. While we were on our way to Allison's house Tre was counting and I thought I'd try and get it on video so here is Tre counting to 15, click here.

Friday, April 9th I took Tre to Cottonwood Park in the morning. It was a bit busy, but I think he had fun running around. His friend Cole was there too so they would play as well as roam in their own directions. After Tre's nap we hung at the house and waited for Jammer to get home from work. Then did our nighttime routine.
Happy 21 Months of Life my little Tre!!!!

Easter 2010

Easter is always a fun time with my family, my older sister Jennifer has her 4 kids and now I am bringing my kids into the mix, makes for a very entertaining holiday. However I think my kiddos will need to get a little older to truly appreciate the egg hunt part, but it'll happen.

In the morning I got our stuff packed and luck would have it my sister, Ashley was in the area visiting a friend so she came over to our house in the morning to drive up with Tre and I so Jammer could surf and then drive her car up after. We were worried with the length of time Tre has been napping (3 hour naps) that we wouldn't get up to my parents house until 4:30 or later so I thought I would try my luck at putting Tre down for his nap at my parents house and Jammer would benefit from another car coming back to OC so he could surf and then come up. So we get to my parents house and get the room ready for Tre and things were not going so well, he is not adjusting so well to sleeping in different places, especially places where he can hear everything that is going on in the rest of the house. So I almost got him to fall asleep, left the room thinking my job was done and it was time to get in the shower before people arrived, when I think my sister Ashley came back from getting ready at her house and my parents new dog barked and voices were heard and Tre popped up quickly and started crying, calling out Auntie Ashley's name and then yelling for Mommy. I ended up finishing my shower as quickly as possible and got dressed and had to head back in to the room. At this point in time Tre had a poopie diaper and it was all over from there. No nap for this kid, I'm hoping that maybe he got at least 5 mins in. I decided to at least give him some down time and we kept the lights off in the room and brought out a simple toy for him to play with on the floor. I changed his diaper, got him dressed and finished getting ready in that room while he chilled on the floor. I still had to go to the store to finish up my potatoes I was making so my sister Ashley came up to the room and hung with Tre while I went to the store. We might just have to be late in the future so Tre can get his nap and not throw things off for days to follow after the nap is messed up, we'll see.

This year is a big year in my family...in addition to us having our 2nd little munchkin my sister Jill is getting married, which I may have mentioned before. However, to really get in the spirit of this happy union Jill had invited her fiance Damon's family to our Easter get together. Plus Damon has a niece who is 2 months older than Tre so there was another little toddler roaming around this time. My youngest nephew is 6. It was great to meet some of Damon's family, unfortunately Damon had come down with something so he was unable to attend the Easter gathering but it was nice that his family was still able to come.

As people were arriving I was in the kitchen getting some food cooked and my younger sister Ashley and I were all of a sudden feeling the house shake! I thought I was having a dizzy spell and grabbed on to the kitchen counter for support but then looked over at Ashley to notice that she was moving as well. The house rolled and it slowly came to a slight rumble until it completely stopped. The pool was moving and only half the group felt the quake. I sure felt it! I think from that point on I didn't feel quite right, my tummy was queasy for the rest of the day. But what a trip, it had been a LONG time since I had felt an earthquake!

Egg Hunting is a serious game in our family and Tre had some practice prior to the family egg hunt but my Dad, brother-in-law and hubby are a bit too good at the egg hiding, so we had to make a pre-egg hunt set up to include Tre and Erica (Damon's niece) who are both under 2. I ended up just throwing some plastic eggs out on the grass and in front of the entry where they would see them as they walked out front. It was cute, my Dad stopped Tre before going out to the eggs and explained to him what he needed to do, look for the egg, pick it up and then put it in your basket. Tre was like, Okay Papa, went for an egg and then wasn't sure he wanted to put it in his basket, hehe. But a few of the eggs did go in the basket and a few were held in his hands for a while. As soon as the bigger kids, my nephew and 2 of my nieces (ages 6, 8 and 12), got started on their egg hunt Tre was wandering around watching what was going on and then just wanted to run around in general. So funny too, last year we had some plastic eggs we couldn't find and weirdest thing, found them this year.

After the kiddos egg hunt, my Dad had gotten the adult egg hunt ready (actually most of it ready before people arrived). This is the serious business side of egg hunting. My Dad is a GREAT egg hider, a little too good sometimes as we seem to ALWAYS lose one or two eggs. I didn't take part since I didn't know what to expect (some of our egg hunts have gotten a little physical and my being pregnant I didn't want to get involved). So Jammer did the hunt for the Anderson side. He and my sister Ashley found the most eggs, but my niece Breanna (age 16) cleaned up financially, she made the most money from the eggs. That's where the seriousness of this game comes into play, a portion of the plastic eggs in hiding are concealing some money! Up to $20 in one egg. Can't remember what the actual amount of eggs with money were this year. It was funny to watch the group hunt for eggs, heads were moving all over the back yard, up, down and all over. Digging in the ground and picking up rocks that were real and fake.

After the hunting was over it was time to eat some yummy food and just socialize. I had to also try on a dress for Jill's wedding to confirm that the size would fit me. Since we don't know exactly how big I will get (but we have an idea from when I carried Tre) we went with the larger size.

So the event was coming to a close and people started leaving, since Tre did not take a nap that day Jammer and I were thinking we needed to get on the road and get this kid to fall asleep in the car for some much needed rest. He did pretty good considering, but was definitely exhausted when we were getting ready to go. He even fell asleep in the car without his pacifier in his mouth but woke up 30 mins later crying and much happier when he saw his paci right in front of him.

Long, eventful day, enjoyed the family gathering and the YUMMY YUMMY food. Wasn't so happy to be feeling yucky for the afternoon but got through it and had a great day!

Now for a little comparison...

Here is our family pic on Easter from this year...Tre being almost 21 months old...

Eggstravaganza 2010

Jammer worked the late shift so he was able to attend the Carlsbad Eggstravaganza event at Poinsettia Park. We got there about 15 minutes before it was scheduled to begin, so did A LOT of other people. Well not as many as there was when we left but there was a good long line to wait in to buy one of their stamp cards to take part in some of the festivities, most importantly, a picture with the Easter Bunny. We at least got a good parking spot so we knew there couldn't be THAT many people. I think it just seemed like a lot because we were all waiting in line to purchase our stamp cards and the event didn't begin until 10am so everyone that arrived early was waiting in the line to take part. It started moving quickly once they started actually allowing people to buy the tickets but it seemed like they weren't quite ready right at 10am so we waited a little longer.

I kept thinking, gosh I am so thankful Jammer is here to entertain Tre while I wait in this line, otherwise we might not have been able to stay in the line, which would've bummed me out since I really wanted to get a pic with the Easter bunny like we did last year. Jammer not having to work till later was also an added bonus for the picture! He had to work last year during this event so it was just Tre and I. Lucky for me last year Tre was only 9 months old so he wasn't walking yet which means he was a lot better about being in his stroller. Hehe.

So I bought the stamp card and found where the Easter bunny pics were to be taken and got in line (short line, we were one of the first to line up there, I think A LOT of people headed straight towards the Easter Egg Hunt areas, which I didn't think Tre would need another hunt since he had one the day before and was going to have another the following day). I called Jammer when the Easter Bunny arrived in his seat so he could bring Tre over, already Tre was fussing to get down and run around and I was beginning to get a little nervous that he was going to freak like he did when we took him to see Santa. Luck would have it that was not the case! It was our turn to seat Tre with the bunny and Jammer and I got on each side of him and Tre was so intrigued with him, he kept staring up at the bunny (not so much looking at the camera, but that's okay, he wasn't crying and that's all we can ask for at this age). They took a few shots (which a bummer the one they got Tre isn't looking as happy as he was when he was actually looking at the bunny, what can you expect when it's not a professional photographer taking the pic) and our turn was over. Jammer grabbed Tre and we began to walk away and then the waterworks began, he cried that we were taking him away from the Easter Bunny, he kept sayin, BUNNY!!!! We had to explain to him that other kids wanted a chance to visit with the bunny and we had to go. The only way to stop the crying was to remove him from the view of the bunny. Once we got into the mix of the rest of the event, he was okay, especially when we found a few other families from our play group. Then Tre was even happier when he found the soccer camp booth and they let him play with the soccer ball. He LOVED that! Home Depot was there and was giving out cute little kid size aprons so we got one of those as well.

At this point in time it was getting close to nap time and we had to get ourselves back to the car and back home, plus Jammer had to go get ready for work. So we said goodbye to our friends and strolled back to the car. It was a fun morning!!

In addition to the growth change in Tre from last year to this year I was also thinking about my community involvement this year compared to last year. Community to me meaning, I am so happy to know more people that live in Carlsbad this year as opposed to last year. Last year in January we had joined the play group that I am now the current organizer for. I was a brand new member and knew no one and couldn't recognize people if I saw them outside of the events, therefore I was pretty much alone in my venture last year. This year was a world of difference, I have become friends with some great Moms from the play group and it puts a huge smile on my face every time I run into someone from the play group. Makes me feel like I am a true member of this beautiful Carlsbad community that I live in and I am truly grateful for that and LOVE it!

Now for the pics that they take with the Easter Bunny...
