Family Baby Shower

My Mom put together a baby shower for Jammer and I to celebrate with our family members the upcoming newest addition to our family. We kept it pretty low key and invited some immediate family members and just had a yummy BBQ in their backyard. It was nice and mellow and my ankles didn't swell! HEHE! I was happy for it all!

I was bummed to realize when I started to take pictures that my camera battery was low and died at the beginning of the shower! Luckily, my sister Jennifer brought her camera and let me use it for whatever as well as took some pictures herself so I'm happy to be able to have record of the event still. YAY!

Jammer took Tre swimming in the jacuzzi which was heaven for Tre, so much that Jammer was trying to convince our little water baby to get out of the water for quite some time before he eventually gave in. Maybe hunger set in with Tre and with the help of my niece McKenna coaxing him to get out of the water to eat and play as well he finally agreed.

It was a beautiful day and my parent's backyard is like a mini paradise to hang out in. The decorations were adorable, the colors were vibrant and the people that made it to the party was great company!

My Dad sported his new shirt that we got him for Father's Day (when we announced our 2nd son's name to bear my Dad's name in part of his name) that had his grandson's name on the back "Donovan". LOVED SEEING THAT! It makes me so happy that we are able to carry on a part of my Dad through this little guy.

We are so grateful to those of you that came to the shower to help us celebrate! It meant the world to us to have you there and we hope you know that! I know life can get busy and crazy but time spent with family is priceless and means so much to us!! Especially as our family is growing and Tre is getting older, him being a part of these events with family and getting to spend quality time with them is huge! He loves it, we love it and we love all of you!

I'm also SO grateful to my Mom for taking on this event with all the activity that is going on with our family these days it's gotta be a lot! So many wonderful things happening this summer with my sister Jill getting married and my baby coming. Plus all the other stuff that goes on during the summer in general. The fact that she wanted to put this together made me so happy! THANKS MOM! And thanks Dad because I know he helped with some things as well!

Here is a collection of pictures from the shower...

2 Year Olds are Funny

So the things that have been coming out of Tre's mouth have been cracking me up. I thought I would post a few on our blog because these things just can't be recorded due to the fact that he just spouts them off at random times.

Tre: Mommy, what are you doing?
Me: I'm making some food.
Tre: Sounds Great!

Tre (after taking a bite of something): Mmmm...Yum...Delicious!

The other day we were playing soccer with Tre at the park and he was having so much fun that he was hugging himself and saying "SO HAPPY!"

This one is hard to explain in writing because you have to hear Tre's tone when he says it but sometimes Tre will look over at me or Jammer and just ask, "Are you okay?" And he expects a response, most often it better be, Yes, because he gets unsure if you say No.

Another thing that is so cute is Tre and Jammer have this thing they do...
Jammer: Tre, give Daddy five
Tre: :::gives Jammer five:::
Jammer: Knuckles
Tre: :::gives Jammer knuckles:::
Jammer: Shaka Bruddah
Tre: :::does Shaka::: and says Shaka Bruddah

He has even done it for other people now that he has gotten the hang of it, usually if someone asks him to give them knuckles he'll give them knuckles and then say Shaka Bruddah. It is too cute!

Tre learned this silly activity from my sister Ashley, he pretends to fall backwards and actually leans back pretty far and says, WOAH WOAH WOAH...until you either begin to pretend to fall backwards and he saves you by grabbing your hand or you grab his hand and pull him close.

Silly Boy!!

Cousins from Utah

I thought this deserved an individual post because it was one of those situations that couldn't have been more perfect as far as things working out and everyone having a great time for an official first time meeting (well first time for Tre and 2nd for me - met everyone at our wedding which was the last time I saw most of them). Jammer's cousins, their kids and two of his Aunts came down to stay at his parent's beach house for the weekend. All the kids were so close in age to Tre (adding on a few years for the 2 older ones that were 8 and I think 6).

We hung out Thursday afternoon after Tre's nap and after Jammer got home from surfing. We went to meet everyone at Moonlight Beach Park. Where the kids didn't really play with each other much, there was so much going on. Tre was playing ball and the other kids were playing on the play structure. So after the park we all went back to the beach house and that's when the fun started. The kids all hung out and played. Tre got a couple belated birthday gifts so those were highlights of the evening (cars, stuffed animals, book, etc). I am so proud of him when I see how well he shares with other kids. So the kids were pretty occupied with the toys and playing among each other. We ate some pizza and salad for dinner and then got home kind of late.

Friday, July 23rd Tre's friend Emily's birthday party was in the morning at Moonlight Beach Park. Lots of visits to this park recently. We got there late because Jammer had his morning meeting, so we stayed for about an hour and some minutes. Jammer's brother Justin, sister Malia, Mom and Aunt stopped by for a visit to see Tre and Jammer while we were there. It was an overcast morning but felt a bit muggy. Then we brought Tre home for his nap. My friend Tiff stopped by when she got off work to bring Tre his birthday gift, see the new house and stop for a visit. After Tiff left I heard back from Jammer's Mom. Originally we all were going to try and make it to Jazz in the Park but time started to close in on us and we ended up just hanging out at the beach house so for the remainder of the evening we hung out over there, which worked out just as well. The kids could play and we all could hang out. Jammer's Mom made up a game where she hid things (all she could find in the house was ketchup packets and stuff, but the kids didn't care) and the kids had to go hunting around and look for them, it was really cute. I ended up taking Jammer's cousins to Downtown Encinitas to check out some shops (which a lot ended up being closed, but we did end up going into Hansen's Surf Shop) then back to the beach house to eat dinner and then go home.

Saturday, July 24th I did some things to prepare for a BBQ we were going to have at our house with Jammer's family in the afternoon while Tre played with his toys and watched a few shows. While Tre was napping I got cleaned up and did a few more things around the house to prepare. When Tre woke up he had a friend's birthday party to go to (I know tons of bday parties lately, hehe). His friend Quinn's birthday party was at Hidden Canyon Park so we went over there for a bit and then went back home in preparation for the family BBQ. I stopped at the grocery store on my way home to pick up a few things, plus some cupcakes to surprise Jammer's Mom whose birthday is on Tuesday, July 27th. We got home and Jammer had been home for a little bit from work setting the toys up outside for the kids to play with. Everyone arrived around 6:30ish and the kids were in heaven playing with all the toys. We grilled some burgers and hot dogs. Time flew by so fast, we lit some candles, sang Happy Birthday to Jammer's Mom, ate dessert and then shortly after they had to leave. Tre was sad to see them go, he was having a lot of fun.

Sadly the fun with Jammer's family from Utah ended. Jammer's cousins and their kids are awesome people! Tre had a great time playing with everyone, even the adults, if you know and have been around Tre you know he has a tendency to enforce the get up and do something ruling and grab anyone by the hand and guide them to where he wants them to go. ;)

Play Group Baby Shower

My friend Sarah put together a baby shower for me and my friend Suzanna. We are both expecting boys so they did a dual baby shower. Suzanna is due 4 weeks before I am. My other friends Carrie and Dana helped put it together, but Dana was unable to attend at the last minute due to a scheduling issue that came up.

So...Jammer had the day off and I had my play group baby shower in the morning. Jammer has been working hard and has been fighting the cold that I had last week so he ended up sleeping in while Tre and I went to the shower. It started at 9am. We got there right on time. So proud of us for getting out the door on time. Hehe.

Sarah had decorated with adorable baby ducks around her house. Even made us cute little diaper cakes. It was great to get together with friends and even better that our kiddos were able to attend and play with each other which they do so well! I love how all our kids have meshed together so well, it makes getting together that much better! I am SO grateful to Sarah for offering to throw me a shower. It made me so happy that she wanted to do that!

For most of the morning the kids just roamed around and played while we watched, interacted and chatted. Towards the end we opened gifts and then got ready to head home.

Great morning! I took Tre home for his nap and while Jammer was getting him down our appointment with a notary to sign the refi docs showed up. We spent over an hour getting that all taken care of and then Jammer rushed off to get a surf in while I got cleaned up. Tre woke up and then Jammer got home from surfing an hour later.

We then got ready and met Jammer's Mom at the Carlsbad Outlet Mall to eat a late lunch at Ruby's. Tre was intrigued with the trains going around the restaurant. Then after we ate we wandered around the mall, well more like chased/followed Tre around the mall. He just kept running. Then it was time to head out and stop at Costco and then get home.

2 Year Checkup

Tre had his 2 year check up. I was looking back at his 18 month check up to compare growth and can't believe the changes that have happened over the past 6 months, not so much with actual growth but just looking at pictures of him at 18 months and pictures of him now. He is growing up fast!

His measurements are as follows:
Height: 33.5 inches which is in the 27th percentile (his pediatrician questioned this one thinking it wasn't accurate, but they never double checked)
Weight: 26.11 pounds which is in the 33rd percentile
Head: 52 cm which is in the 97th percentile (he moved from 94th last time back to 97th)
A new measurement on the list this time was...
Body Mass Index, which was 17 and is 50th percentile

He gained 2 pounds in the past 6 months but according to their height recording he only grew 0.5 inches, which I still feel like the measurement was off a bit. It's hard with such a wiggly kid to get a unmoving measurement but it's all we had to go on. His head grew 2 centimeters.

His pediatrician said he is growing well and developing wonderfully! He did end up getting a shot which I wasn't expecting because I thought he didn't get any shots at his 2 year check up but he did need 1. Poor kid, I don't like shots and especially don't like when they give them to him. He tries to be so tough but it hurts him and he cried pretty hard once he accepted that it hurt him. He now moves from drinking whole milk to 2% milk which will be much easier for all of us so we can just buy 2% for all of us instead of having to buy one for him and one for us and hope that we finish it all before it goes bad.

The picture I posted with this post was actually taken the day after his appointment but thought I would add a pic for comparison sake. :)

Tre's 2nd Birthday Parties

Tre is 2 years old!!! It's not a huge number but omigosh, I can't believe it has been 2 years since this kid came into our lives! It is so hard to remember what my life was like before he came into this world. It changed me, my life and how I look at the world. Seeing the world through Tre's eyes is an amazing thing. I get a little teary eyed thinking about all that has happened since he was born (maybe a little prego hormones involved but mostly just a surge of happiness that I can't control).

Have I really been a Mom for 2 years now? To top it off another little munchkin is going to be making his way into this world in just a few quick weeks!

So the morning of July 9th started off with preparation for Tre's play group birthday party. We had an RSVP count of 20 Moms and their kiddos! 2 canceled the morning of (one went into labor and the other's son was sick). So 18...I was worried it would be a little too crowded but it went very well and Tre had a BLAST. He was playing with his toys, his friends and balloons. Smiling the entire time, I couldn't get him to stop for even a moment so we could sing Happy Birthday to him so we ended up skipping it. I think everyone had a good time!

Here is a video of Tre after his play group birthday party, click here to check it out.

Then it was time for Tre to go down for his nap which ended up being a LOONG nap, it was 3 hours and 15 minutes. The kid was TIRED! Then my sister arrived at the house so she could spend the weekend with us for Tre's birthday party. We all went to Jazz in the Park at Stagecoach Park to continue celebrating Tre's birthday. We met some friends there and had a great time. It was fun to show my sister Ashley what Jazz in the Park was all about.

I think Tre had a fun-filled birthday...and we had lots of fun celebrating with him...

Here is a video of Tre on our way home from Jazz in the Park where he was dancing to one of his favorite Hullabaloo Band songs, London Bridge is Falling Down, click here to see it.

Sunday, July 11th was Tre's family/friend party. My sister, Ashley and I prepared during the morning while Jammer did some moving from the condo. We cut fruit, frosted cupcakes, cut veggies, etc. We put Tre down for a nap and got the rest of everything ready and ourselves cleaned up. The party was scheduled for 2:30pm and people started arriving sometime around then. Tre woke up right at 2:30ish and we got him ready quickly. He was in a great mood and had a lot of fun. Time flew by again and soon enough it was time for everyone to go home.

I was drained from the weekend and felt like I was losing my voice. The parties were over and it was official that my little boy was 2 years old and getting older every day. It's so funny how when they turn these milestone ages that there is a distinct growth. He is such a big boy now, speaking so much more clearly (which surprises me because he has always been good with his words), mannerisms are more mature and everything about him is growing up. I'm very proud of the little kid we are raising and can't wait for all the years to come as he grows up. He is so smart and I am floored by the things he can do at only 2 years old.

Here is a video of Tre dancing with my sister Ashley after his birthday party was over, click here to check it out.

My sister Ashley got Tre a drum for his birthday and here he is after he opened it playing some tunes, click here to check it out.

Tre is 24 Months Old

WOW....24 months...my little boy is 2 years old! I seriously cannot believe it. A few changes have taken place over the past month. Moving being the most impacting event. Renting out our condo is so weird, knowing someone else is living in our condo. But thankfully it only took us a couple weeks to get it rented and a month from when we moved in to the new house that the new tenants moved in.

Thursday, June 10th was Tre's last day of preschool. I decided to do a special post on it, to check it out click here.

Friday, June 11th Tre and I hung at the house in the morning. I had some stuff to do around the house in preparation for moving and he stays pretty well distracted in the morning with food and a few shows. After Tre's nap I had someone coming to look at the condo at 3:30pm and then after that we waited for Jammer to get home from work. When Jammer got home from work we wanted to go over to El Caribe and get some dinner, however we got a little distracted with this crazy geyser of water that was looming in the sky next to our complex. Thankfully it wasn't on our property but the complex next door, someone hit the fire hydrant and water was spewing out. Tre was SO intrigued with it, he kept yelling WATERFALL!! However, he was so intrigued that when we realized what time it was we needed to get over to get some food and of course Tre had a little meltdown, so I decided to just go pick up dinner and bring it home. We ate dinner and then got Tre ready for bed.

Saturday, June 12th Jammer had the day off. We just hung at the house in the morning and then while Tre was napping, Jammer went surfing and I was doing some packing and stuff around the house. Someone wanted to come look at the condo and ended up coming by during Tre's nap. I was a little nervous about people coming through, but they didn't mind not being able to look at Tre's room and it ended up not working for them anyways. After Tre's nap we stuck around the house for another person to come look at the condo. This woman was very interested and ended up filling out the application and all before she left. She was very nice and after doing all the background checking and stuff we'll see if she is going to work out for the condo. After she left we ended up just hanging out since it was getting close to dinner and bedtime for Tre.

Sunday, June 13th Jammer had the day off and went surfing just shortly after Tre woke up because I had plans to go meet up with my friend Candice who was going to be trying on wedding dresses in Costa Mesa so he needed to be home with Tre while I was gone. Someone was supposed to come look at the condo at 10:30am but she ended up canceling because her husband decided he didn't want to move so Tre and I hung out until Jammer got home from surfing. Candice asked me to be one of her bridesmaids so myself and her other bridesmaids got together in Costa Mesa at David's Bridal for some dress shopping. One of the bridesmaids tried on dresses for us to look at and see what we might like and to help Candice decide on wedding colors. It was a great afternoon with some great girls. Jammer took Tre to the beach while I was gone, so when Tre woke up, he made him some lunch and then they went to the beach. I got home and eventually put some dinner together for Tre and got him ready for bed.

Monday, June 14th my friend Sarah's baby shower was at Aviara Park in the morning. I was grateful to have Jammer there to help me watch Tre since that park is a tough place for me to monitor Tre since he likes to go all over the place. It was a warm morning. Then after Tre's nap we hung out at the house since we had someone coming to look at the condo at 3:30pm. After they left I had to take Tre to a doctor's appointment that I ended up scheduling while he was sleeping because he has had this continual cough since he was sick over 2 weeks ago. I wasn't concerned enough to take him to the doctor but they wouldn't give me any info unless I saw a doctor due to the length of time he has had the cough. Thankfully nothing was wrong and the doctor said that it'll probably linger for a little while as the cilia in his throat rejuvenates or something. Poor kid, it's gotta be so annoying to cough for so long, especially when he is active, he starts a coughing fit sometimes to catch his breath. After the doctor's appointment we went to Costco to pick up some things and then home.

Tuesday, June 15th we had a play date planned with Tre's friend Gibson. Tina had found this car ramp thing on Ebay that both Gibson and Tre were very fond of at a birthday party they went to a while back so she invited Tre over to play with it with Gibson. Tre had a blast!! He was all about the cars and trains. We got home in time for Jammer to put Tre down for bed (Jammer went surfing while we were at Tina & Gibson's house). Tre must've been super tired because he went straight to bed. Jammer went to work and I did some packing and situating some things with potential renters. When Tre woke up we went for a walk in the stroller across the street to get lunch at Daphne's Greek Cafe, then to the grocery store and back home. Figured I'd do a little walking around our neighborhood as we are closing in on the last few days of living here. Then Tre and I hung at the house until bedtime.

Wednesday, June 16th I had scheduled a free photo shoot with a local photographer. I did a separate post for this one and you can read about it here.

Thursday, June 17th I had a doctor's appointment in the morning. Had to do my glucose test so I had to drink the special glucose drink before heading down to the appointment. Jammer was home with Tre so I could go to the doctor. Then Jammer had to go to work after Tre went down for his nap, he took a good long nap, 3 1/2 hours. I was wondering when he was going to catch up on the 6:30am wake ups he has been doing lately, guess that was today. When Tre woke up from his nap I was doing some packing up and stuff so we hung out at the house. He had a little incident before nap where he ran into the door in our room and cut his lip, he was okay, but I think he was a little out of sorts when he woke up from nap and just wanted to hang.

Friday, June 18th I had an appointment to pick up the keys to our new house and then after getting all that stuff squared away Tre and I went over to my friend Tracy's house so Tre could play with her daughter Merrina and a couple other friends. I was so excited because Jammer had text me and let me know that he was going to be getting off work early, since he had to work an entire day from open to close they let him off early to make up for it. So Tre was napping and Jammer and I were getting packed and stuff ready to go see the new house. Jammer had yet to see the inside of house so he was excited to check it out. Tre didn't take a very long nap (under 2 hours) so he woke up, we got him ready and then went over to the new house with two packed cars. Before unloading we went in and walked around to see how we were going to set things up. While I kept Tre busy in the empty house Jammer unpacked what we had put in the cars. Thankfully we had a bin full of Tre's toys to help distract him since he was getting pretty bored. Then we came back to the condo and Jammer took Tre swimming while I was trying to handle some things in the house, most importantly needing to get our cable set up, however I was VERY disappointed with our cable company. I have liked AT&T even with their few issues they have had, BUT when letting them know that I would like to continue to use the same DVR recorder that we have been using at our current home they said that's not how they do things and therefore I would lose ALL my recordings because they require we start fresh at a new house, which is so dumb because we weren't planning on leaving the company, just moving to a different house. If I wanted to use the same DVR they would charge me $150 to "keep" it. SO LAME! Ultimately, they were going to refer me to a manager and they were going to have to call me back.

Saturday, June 19th was my family's annual Father's Day Party. Since it was moving weekend we ended up doing some packing/moving in the morning and I had to run some errands. Then put Tre down for his nap. Jammer surfed while Tre napped and then got home, got ready and while we waited for Tre to wake up we did some more packing. Then Tre woke up and we had to rush to get ready and out the door. We were a bit later than we would've liked to arrive, but traffic was pretty bad and it took us almost 2 hours to get there. We were happy to get there and a lot of family to see. We were anxious to give my Dad his Father's Day gift because it had to do with our baby boy. Click here to read about it if you haven't already. My Dad opened up his gift, which was a Donovan soccer t-shirt. It conveniently worked out that the US Soccer Player, Landon Donovan is the number 10 on the US Soccer team this year and Baby Donovan Makoa is going to be born in 2010. After that we got to hang out and my niece McKenna was SO awesome helping out with Tre. She is going to be such a good Mom someday, she is just so darn good with kids and Tre LOVES her, so much that he was asking about her before we even got to my parent's house. It was great to have her help us with him. The day flew by before we knew it, it was past Tre's bedtime and we had to head home. We got Tre in his jammies, packed up the car and headed home. What a long, fun day!

Sunday, June 20th was another packing/moving day. So not a very exciting day. For Father's Day it was pretty uneventful, sorry to Jammer but we had all this moving stuff to prep for so it was kind of just another day, however he did get to celebrate the day before. I had made a little gift for Jammer on the recommendation of a friend of mine. It was called the Super Hero Box. I filled it with his fav snacks and gave it to him before he got out of bed. Due to the move breakfast wasn't quite as spectacular as I would've liked since we were trying not to do too much grocery shopping to avoid excess stuff to move. Jammer went surfing while Tre napped and then when Tre woke up we were trying to think of something to do. We decided we were going to go to El Caribe for dinner but got distracted by a crazy geyser shooting into the sky behind our friend/neighbor's condo, turns out someone hit a fire hydrant and it was spraying water into the sky. That took up some time and then taking Tre away from the "waterfall" created a meltdown that we decided it might be best to just take Tre home and I pick up food and we eat at the house.

Monday, June 21st was the BIG moving day. To see the post about moving, click here.

Tuesday, June 22nd Jammer had to go back to work. Luckily my Mom was able to stay for a couple days and help out. We hung out at the new house and did some unpacking as well as playing with Tre and then while Tre was napping I had to take my cat Cyrus to the vet. He has asthma and it was picking up a bit so I had to take him in and give him his yearly shot. Then I got home and had to deal with AT&T and the situation with our cable. Then Tre woke up from his nap and we hung out at the house until Jammer got home from work. I had my HOA Board meeting that night so after the board meeting I did some packing and stuff at the condo. LONG DAY!

Wednesday, June 23rd Jammer was home in the morning and we had to go to Costco to buy a new TV since ours died (this was not an expense we were very excited about, but what can you do when your TV dies?) and the cable company was coming to hook up our new cable in the afternoon. My Mom stayed at the house with Tre so we could go get the TV and a few other things we needed to get. Then on our way home from Costco we stopped at the condo to pick up some boxes and stuff. Back to the house to unload and then get Tre down for his nap. The cable company was scheduled to come between 1 and 3. He arrived about 30 minutes or so after Tre woke up from his nap and set everything up in the house. After the cable guy left my Mom and I were doing some more unpacking and hanging out with Tre. Then it was time to get Tre ready for bed and shortly after that my Mom had to go home.

Thursday, June 24th Tre and I hung out at the house in the morning. After all that has gone on this week I have been extremely exhausted and had barely any energy. After Tre's nap we went over to the condo. My friend/neighbor at the condo and her daughter played with Tre at their house right down from our condo so I could get some packing and stuff done. It was a huge help! Jammer came straight over to the condo after he got off work to help as well. It was getting close to time to get Tre home for dinner and bed so we packed up the cars and got ready to leave. I picked up food on the way home for dinner and Jammer took Tre home to get him ready for bed.

Friday, June 25th I was going to do some more packing at the condo but my friend ended up not being able to watch Tre so we ended up hanging at the house and I tried to do a bit of unpacking at the new house. After Tre's nap we ate some lunch and then got ready to go to Jazz in the Park. Since we had so much "work" going on this week I thought it'd be nice to do something fun as a family. As soon as Jammer got home from work we got ready to go to Stagecoach Park where the 1st Jazz in the Park of the summer was at. It was a lot of fun and we hung out with some of friends and their kiddos. Nice evening, but definitely SO tired at the end of the day.

Saturday, June 26th Jammer worked the late shift so he and Tre hung out at the house while I went to the condo and did some more packing and stuff plus had to stop off at Target to pick up a new microwave since our new house doesn't have one and a few other things. Jammer left for work and Tre napped. When Tre woke up from his nap we had a birthday party to go to at Aviara Park for Tre's friend Liam. We went to the party and then stopped off at the condo to pick up some things before going home. Then home to eat some dinner and get ready for bed.

Sunday, June 27th Tre and I hung out at the house in the morning and then after nap we went over to the condo. While I did some painting and packing my friend/neighbor at the condo, Rachel and her daughter Selah watched Tre for me. Huge help! I touched up the 3rd bedroom and the master bathroom so now all the rooms have been painted that needed touch up paint. YAY! Once Tre was back at the condo it was near impossible to get anything done so I just tried to pack stuff as quickly as possible and get out of the house. Anytime I take something to the car both Noa and Tre would run to the screen and Noa would be barking and Tre would be yelling MOMMY! It was madness! We got home and thankfully Jammer was able to get off work before Tre went to bed (we hadn't expected that) so he was able to see Tre before bed and read some books with him.

Monday, June 28th I had hoped to get some stuff done at the condo in the morning since Jammer had the day off, however, life and Tre had other intentions. First Tre slept in, which was very much welcomed since we were up until past midnight hanging our TV over the fireplace. So we got off to a late start. I put together some food for Tre and woke Jammer up, but as I was getting ready to go to the condo Tre had a little incident. Jammer and him were playing chase around the house and Tre slipped, fell and hit his head on the corner of one of the walls. Poor kid's head started to bump up really fast and he was SO upset. He didn't want us to put ice on it, he didn't want medicine, he didn't want anything from us but to scream because it hurt so much. We let him have his time to cry because he hurt and then when he finally mellowed out he accepted medicine but was still not wanting us to touch his head to ice it. Sucks because that bump was getting bigger by the seconds and bruising as well. It even had a little red line going across the bump where it hit the corner. So we watched him for a bit and made sure that he was acting normal. He went back to eating his breakfast and watching TV, but just wanted to chill. My morning of getting stuff done at the condo was quickly becoming non-existent. Then Tre decided he wanted to get up and play again and I saw that he was back to his normal self. Figuring we should keep him up for a bit longer than normal today to make sure all was well I had time to go to the condo. However, here is the kicker, I get to the condo and am carrying a bunch of empty boxes up the stairs. I get to the door and realize Jammer's keys don't have a house key on them!!! DANGIT! So no condo cleaning/packing for me. I ended up going to the grocery store to pick up some things and then went back to the house. Jammer went surfing while Tre napped and then I had to be at the condo at 3pm to meet our future tenants to do the lease signing and receive the security deposit. After that I came back to the house and got Tre ready and we went to Costco to pick up some things and then back to the condo to pack up more stuff. Not so fun with a grumpy kiddo. The bump on Tre's head was affecting his personality, he was a short fuse. Understandable given how he probably felt, but still difficult.

Tuesday, June 29th Jammer worked the late shift so Tre and Jammer hung out at the house while I went over to the condo and did some packing and clean up. I got home and Jammer had put Tre down for his nap and was getting ready for work. After Tre woke up from his nap my friend Sarah and her daughter Ella came over. Tre and Ella played for a bit and Tre got to show Ella his new house. After Sarah and Ella left Tre and I ate dinner and got ready for bed. I also posted a blog post of pictures from the free photo shoot we had on June 16th in case you missed it, you can view it here.

Wednesday, June 30th Tre woke up super late, like 8:40am, then he had his friend Cole over for a little morning play date. My friend Allison wanted to drop off Tre's bday present since they are going to be going out of town and won't be able to make Tre's party, so we thought we'd let Tre and Cole play for a bit. Then it was time for Tre to go down for nap, except he decided he didn't want a nap, which was weird because when we went into his room he asked for sleep and was rubbing his eyes. Then about 20 minutes later he started singing really loud as if he was done napping and calling for me. I was trying to take the quickest shower ever and then tried to shoosh Tre to go back to sleep but he wasn't interested at all. He threw everything out of his crib and it was all over. No nap for Tre, which in exchange makes for a very grumpy little kid. Every little thing sets him off. Jammer worked the early shift so I was counting down the hours until he was going to get off work. When Jammer got home Tre was very excited to have his daddy home and they played for a while outside. I went to grab dinner from Buca di Beppo and then we got Tre ready for bed and ate dinner after he went to sleep.

Thursday, July 1st I had a doctor's appointment in the morning so I posted a separate blog post here.

Friday, July 2nd was a very fun and busy day! Tre slept until 8:30am (wow he has been sleeping in lately). Then we had to get ready for a birthday party at Moonlight Beach Park. We got to Moonlight Beach around 10am and hung out there for an hour and a half and then had to stop at the condo really quick to pick up some things and I had to sign a check for the HOA. I got Tre home for his nap and then when he woke up from his nap we met some friends at their community pool for a little afternoon swim. So much fun but draining. Tre is a busy body and would be in the kiddie pool, out of the kiddie pool, running around the pool and all over again. I don't think I got to sit for longer than 5 seconds. But it was fun, then we stopped at the store on the way home and got home in time to get stuff ready for our friends to come over for a BBQ. It was a fun evening! They have a son that is a year older than Tre and both the boys play really well together so they were having tons of fun running around the house. Then it was time for them to leave and time for Tre to go to bed.

Saturday, July 3rd Jammer had the day off. He went surfing in the morning and then when he got back I had to hurry and get ready and head over to the condo to meet our new tenants for the lease signing. It is official! Our tenants have paid their deposit and signed the lease. They begin moving in on the 15th. It's going to be so weird to drive by and know that someone else is living there, but the guys are really nice and I think that they will like it there. After the lease signing I did some packing. Then I came home and Jammer went to the condo to move the boxes that I packed into his car and over to the new house. When Jammer was done moving the boxes into the garage/house we got ready and went over to Big Lots so we could purchase some patio furniture for the back yard. Then back home to put it together and play with Tre before bedtime.

Sunday, July 4th initially was meant to have it's own blog post, however, nothing exciting really happened, therefore I can keep it short and simple. Jammer had the day off. He went surfing in the morning and when he came back we hung out with Tre. Then while Tre (and Jammer) napped I went over to the condo and did some more packing. Originally we had planned on going to our condo association pool and meet up with some friends there but the weather was so junky that they ended up doing something different so I came back to the condo, brought pizza home and we hung out at the house. We took Tre & Noa for a walk around the neighborhood and then back to the house for a family BBQ. It was kind of nice to just hang out us 3, but I was bummed that our plans fell through. As I was putting Tre down for bed, Jammer went over to the condo and picked up the boxes that I had packed and brought them home. We watched some TV and then went to bed. Hope everyone had a good 4th of July!

Monday, July 5th Jammer stayed at the house in the morning with Tre while I went to the condo and did some more packing and cleaning up. Lots of fun! After Tre woke up from his nap we went over to my friend Allison's house so Tre and Cole could play. They had so much fun and it was great to see them running around and being boys.

Tuesday, July 6th I did another run to the condo to pick up some things while Jammer stayed home with Tre. Then Tre took a short nap (boo-hoo) and was a bit grumpy. Also, I think with the rainy weather it was bumming him out to not be able to go outside. I had a few errands I needed to run but Tre's actions were making me think it might be more of a hassle than it was worth so we stayed at the house. I unpacked some boxes, so at least I got some stuff accomplished.

Wednesday, July 7th was another yucky day. What is this rain thing in July? I'm glad I didn't plan a pool party for Tre's play group party on Friday. The weather looks a little sketchy for kids to get in the water in the morning. We ended up hanging out at the house in the morning, wasn't much to do with the weather being bad and Tre wasn't really into the idea of running errands. After Tre's nap we went over to Bressi Ranch near the Trader Joe's to get some pictures taken. My friend Kelly as a gift for Tre wanted to take some pictures of him and put something together so we hung out there for a little while so she could get some pics. Tre definitely made her work for it! He is so hard to get to look up sometimes and even smile. I have so many serious faced pictures of him because he only really smiles if something truly amuses him. I'm excited to see the pics! After the pics we ran a few errands in preparation for all the birthday festivities this coming weekend and then came home. Tre and Jammer played for a little bit before we had to get Tre ready for bed.

Thursday, July 8th...the day before Tre turns 2! I am going to close this blog post the day before Tre's birthday because I plan to do a separate post for Tre's actual birthday. Pretty much to sum up this day, Jammer worked the early shift and Tre and I hung out at the house in the morning. I did some cleaning and stuff to prepare for Tre's play group birthday party the following morning. After Tre's nap, Tre and I had to run a few errands which included stopping by my friend Tina's house to borrow her son's car ramp for the birthday parties (which was a huge hit and so helpful in keeping the kiddos entertained) and when Jammer got home from work we did some prepping for the party and entertained Tre until it was time for bed.

Here is a collection of pictures from the past month....

30 Weeks Doctors Appointment

I had a doctors appointment, it is now down to every 2 weeks, just another sign that this baby is coming SOON! I'm at 30 weeks and can't believe it! Only 10 weeks to go! I got the results of my glucose test that I had to take two weeks ago where you drink a glucose drink and then get your blood drawn to make sure you don't have gestational diabetes. The results were negative so that was great news. I would be so bummed if I had to watch what I eat more closely. I guess you are supposed to be under 140 and I was at 85 or something which is very good. Also, they tested my blood for anemia and that was negative too! Yay, when I was pregnant with Tre I was slightly anemic at this stage so I was happy to not have to worry about that either. Guess I am doing everything right and staying under the radar on anything to worry about. Yippee!

Another good thing is I gained some weight! Yay! I was a little surprised but happy since I had been barely gaining anything. But from the last doctor's appointment where I only gained 2 pounds in 4 weeks, this time I gained 4 pounds in 2 weeks! I'm at 122 so that is much better. Since I was so low in weight to start with this pregnancy I needed to pick it up a bit so it's good to see that I gained some much needed pounds.

It was a good appointment and I was happy to get out of there before an hour! Jammer was home with Tre and then because Tre slept in SUPER DUPER late (he didn't wake up until 9:40ish) Tre was still awake when I got home so Jammer was in a hurry to get ready for work. He left for work while Tre and I continued to hang out. He finally went down for a nap around 2pm (so crazy because usually he is waking up around this time). He took a good nap and didn't wake up until 4:30pm. Since it was pretty late in the afternoon I decided to just hang out at the house and play in the yard with Tre. He went to bed later than he normally does but I had a feeling that was going to happen with the push back of his day.
